When I analyze technology and technology within society, I look to my future. As a future educator, keeping my private and public life separate is an extremely important matter. However, it gets tricky separating the two with the use of technology today. For example, take a look at social media. Take a moment to think about current social networking that you may take part in. Is there a particular instagram photo or tweet that you wouldn’t want a future employer to see? It has become very common for companies to look at someone’s social media. An important part of their application process ties together with technology. Are you what they are looking for? How are you conducting yourself? What do you portray yourself as? A future employer will most likely look right past the person who is posting inappropriate Facebook photos or maybe writing inappropriate tweets. Writing on the internet is more than just words and writing itself. When you write you are constructing who you are as a person through your writing. When individuals enter the public world and share their lives via internet, it is crucial that they know how to properly manage the information that they are
