Reflection Paper Over spring break, I watched a documentary film named Super-Size Me. This film was produced in 2004, in America. It talks about how fast food influences people’s health and body. Morgan Spurlock is the producer of this film. From this film, I learned the reasons why American people like to choose fast food restaurants and how fast food affects their health. There are about 1/4 Americans who eat in fast food restaurants, like McDonalds, KFC and Burger King. People can find this kind of fast food restaurant everywhere in the United States. These restaurants always have strategies to win customers. For example, they send discount coupons to people and offer some special meals, such as “happy meals,” to attract people’s attention. Compared to other meals, fast food is cheaper but still tastes good. People also can save their cooking time and do not have to wash their dishes. Most American do not like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. In my opinion, however, cooking is romantic. You can cook for people who you love. During your cooking time, you can imagine putting your love in your dishes, making your dishes more beautiful and tasty. You also can imagine that when those people enjoy your dishes and a happy smile shows up on their faces, you also feel very happy. Cooking with your family also is fun. You can shop and prepare cooking materials together. It can be a lot of fun. Therefore, do not be obsessed with fast food; spending more cooking time with your family is more happy than eating the “happy meal.”
Morgan Spurlock showed portraits to some young students, including famous people and Ronald McDonald. All of those students could recognize Ronald McDonald but none of them could recognize all of the famous people. Almost every city in America has fast food restaurants. Even every country has fast food restaurants from America. Some fast food is also developing related industries, their productions showing up in a lot
