The art of being a critique is in its essence quality work, and it is the way of the world today. This is the requirement as well obligation for all researchers. If the research material they produce is of low quality and integrity, it is not worthy of reading. In this case, the literature on supply chain collaboration will undergo the same critical analysis. There are areas that will show if the research is of impeccable quality and value or if it is not. They will include the contribution of the paper to the research area.
The area of research is supply chain collaborations. The paper has clearly defined the research area stating Supply chain collaboration means two or more autonomous firms working jointly to plan and execute supply chain operations (Simatupang & Sridharan, 2002). This ensures that the reader gets to know firsthand before reading the material what they are reading. However, this is not a critical aspect of the research as the definition can be found on the glossary at the end of the research. It is also easy to understand what the title means by consulting a dictionary or continuing to read the material. Thus, this part of the paper can be under the provisional part or the others section.
The use of statistical methods is also presenting the research paper with, for example, the chi-square test. This is a favorable method for those analyzing data further. However, for those who are not conversant with this method fail to understand the diagrams. This leads to distortion of information that is vital to understand the research paper (Wayne 2008). The solution is drawing less complicated diagrams like just an ordinary table or drawing two diagrams with one a summary of the other.
There is the research question that states what the problem is; that the research paper addresses. This question is what the researcher will try to answer in conducting his/her research to find solutions. In this

Supply chain management is the coordination of the processes and functions within a business, adopted by most companies in the UK in the late 1990’s. It deals with the internal and external factors that, when dealt with correctly and systematically, can determine a businesses success or failure. A supply chain is the network of activities that delivers a finished product service to the customer. By definition, supply chain management (SCM) is “the management of the flows of materials from suppliers to customers in order to reduce overall cost and increase responsiveness to the customers” (Reid & Sanders). SCM entails the co-ordination of the movement of good through the supply chain from suppliers to manufacturers to distributors to the final customer. The main aim of SCM is to maximise the efficiency of any given process being carried out by a company; by doing this it is allowing them to try to cut their costs and hopefully keep satisfying their customers’ needs, while at the same time maintaining their competitive position within their market. Supply chain management is seen as more of an “open system” in contrast to the traditional system used by the majority of companies just 20 years ago. The new “open system” allows room for change which is greatly needed with the current financial instability of the economy.…

Supply chain is the beginning of a business production. A business must have a supply chain in order to be able to receive products and to distribute them. The definition of supply chain is described as a certain network of other companies that works together to both serve the customer, and the consumer (Supply Chain, 2015). A supply chain is the main link between a business and its consumers. When a consumer purchases a product from a business it comes from a line of other companies. The product might come from one store that manufactures the product, then is sold to another store for a goods price, next it is sold to the customer at the price they are willing to pay. Supply chains are not always used to their full extent. Many companies are unaware of what really goes on within their supply chain. There are businesses that do not know the information flow of the supply chain, and only really focus on the visible aspect. This results in the miscommunication and the potential to use the supply chain to its maximum potential (Handfield, 2011).…

    6. The role of women in western society has changed drastically over the past three hundred years, and like most paradigm shifts, it happened in bursts. The 1920’s were one such time of great cultural change. Teenagers, as is common, felt the greatest amount of change in this time. For example, smoking and drinking among women became common in this period. What, a few years prior, simply didn’t happen, became a norm among the young. Fashion is another prime example. Young women, no longer forced to maintain somewhat prudish styles of dress, saw the skirt rise from the ankle to the knee. Short hair was also in vogue, the bob being the most popular at the time. Both of these showed a preference for more utilitarian styles, as well as an increase…

Liu 1 Chao Liu Dr. Larry Weinstein MBA 7800 10 Sep. 2012 Summary of the determinants of supply chain alliance performance: an empirical study As the market is becoming more and more competitive, cooperative alliance between companies is becoming common. There are two explanations of cooperative alliance between suppliers and buyers, as the article goes, one is the partner firms aiming at acquiring resources including materials, skills and information; the other explanation is defined from the goal perspective. With the increasing importance of supply chain management, supplier-buyer relationship is also being attached significance and alliance promotes the success of win-win result within the relationship. Based on the background, this article explores the supply chain alliance and the performance of associated alliance. The author uses many quantitative methods to collect and analyze data obtained from seven variables. From the scatterplots of dependent variables against independent variables, we can see that plots centers on the upper right side of that coordinate, we can therefore conclude that the factor of stability has a significant impact on the performance of supply chain alliance, however, based on the smoothing curve below, when stability increase to a certain point, performance of alliance starts to decrease with a little scope. According to the same principle, the variable of trust also has a significant impact on the performance of the alliance. In the smoothing curve, the performance increases slowly when trust stays at a low level and it increases sharply when trust goes high. With the help of the scatterplots figure and the smoothing curve, we can easily identify the relationship between different factors affecting performance and alliance performance. At last, as the author suggests, success of supply chain requires wide focus, more comprehensive data to generate more accurate interpretation.…
