Surfing is a popular sport, in fact more like a culture, in New Jersey. Come summer, everybody, pro or a rookie, hits the waves. Surfing is serious business for them. So much so, that they have a certain set of unspoken rules when it comes to surfing. One of the most important ones is to never beak someone else’s surf. This is mainly due to two reasons. One, someone may get hurt in the process. And two, it just discredits you as an ethical surfer (trying to steal someone else’s wave, really!).

The Inlet Beach is one of the greatest surfing spots in Manasquan and on the east coast. The beach holds a lot of surfing …show more content…
This is the place you want to be at when a swell starts to hit. If you are planning a visit to the area, keep a track of the tides. It takes all the key elements to be at the right place at the right time to see the wonders that the breaks can bring for surfers!
Belmar
If you want the goodness that Inlet Beach offers for surfers along with a bit of solitude, Belmar is the place for you to be. The swells and barrels here are great as its neighbor Manasquan inlet. But, the popularity of Manasquan makes Belmar a little less crowded and relaxed. Just restrict yourself to surf within the posted limits or else you may have to face a ‘cop situation’.
Bradley
Amongst the many jetties in the different towns of Monmouth County, Bradley is considered to be the most famous for it has one of the finest surfing spots in the town, the 3rd Avenue. The beaches get various kinds of swells, all equally good for surfers. 3rd avenue gets a lot of long boarders though and they are infamous for monopolizing waves. Brinley Avenue, on the other hand, is the spot where you want to go when everything else is closing out.
