Knows mum by smell.

Forms a strong bond with mother.
2 – 3
Months
Can hold finger and can hold up head when lying on stomach. Sleeps and eats more regularly.
Makes coos and other sound at the sound of peoples voices.
Will cry if wet or want to be fed, trying to talk.
Can calm self-down with others gentle and soothing touches.
4 – 6
Months
Reach for things and roll over, sit with support. Gets first teeth and can eat solid foods.
Responds to sounds and movement, learning to wait while others talk.
Learning how to feel joy and pleasure, if needs are not met will cry to get attention.
Has an attachment to other people and enjoys playing with other children.
7 – 9
Months
Start to crawl and is able sit alone. Uses thumb and pointing finger to pick things up.
Copies speech sounds and know out comes of things like bath time or feeding time.
Responds to new events by copying what the parents do.
May cling to parent when they leave but soon learns that they will come back.

10 – 12
Months

Can drink from cup and eat with fingers. Pulls to stand, can stand on own and can trough a ball.

Mays say first words, can play peek-a-boo and knows that things don’t disappear because they close there eyes.

Uses many different emotions by crying, facial expressions and body movements.

Knows familiar people and able to express their need more clearly.

Year
Walking, running, climbing, and exploring.
Can name animals, and peoples from pictures. Can build with blocks and knows no fear.
Is moody
Plays next to but not with other children. Likes to be chased but not to share.

Years
Goes up and down stairs, runs
