Teamwork And Communication Analysis
Everyone experiences a time in their life where they have to use teamwork and communication to accomplish something. Using teamwork and communication to achieve a task or project is very important. I have had a variety of moments in my life where I had to use teamwork to accomplish a task or project. Whether it be outside of school or an in school assignment. Furthermore, I will be talking to you about my teamwork, what aspects went smoothly, and what aspects went quite difficult.

Around the year 2010 my varsity cheerleading team was attempting to fix and come out with new moves to advance the team to Florida. This chance was a huge opportunity for the whole team. Our aspects had to be changed to over the outcome. We all had to put on teamwork and communication to accomplish this task. We all had to communicate by asking questions and to listen clearly. Whether or not if you didn't understand, we would attempt to make it clearer for the other

Starting with, at moments where not everybody understood of what we were doing wrong. Not everybody comprehended the problem correctly, and communicating too much then became a problem. Less talking would have been quite more easier. Otherwise the situation went smoothly as possible even with too much talking. The team still managed to accomplish what they strived to.

In conclusion, the team used as much teamwork as possible. They achieved there goal by all of the memebers thinking and putting in thoughts. Without the thoughts and questions they would have gotten no where of making it better. Teamwork and communication was used which helped them by thinking positive making and figuring out thoughts. Either way, without the teamwork, communication, and positive thinking the team couldn't of gotten as far as they got. The team faced a few communication challenges this week. We had a team member drop the course without notice so we were scrambling a bit to ensure all sections would be covered for the final project. A couple team members had some family issues and were not online this week to check into the team forum until late in the week. However, overcoming these communication challenges was easy for us as a team. Since the entire team filled out the team charter we had other ways to contact each other than just the team forum. Text messages allowed us to gain confirmation that one team member did drop the course and allowed the others to let the team know they had some setbacks but would be checking into the forum before the end of the week. The team has agreed to try to abide by the ground rules regarding communication and assignment deadlines as outlined in the team charter for all future work.…

My team’s objectives were to raise the awareness of our charity, raise over £1000 and raise as much money as possible and to run successful events. We were given £100 to start our events and had to budget what we spent. We had to decide our individual roles before we started planning any of the events so we all knew what we had to do but this was a bit of a struggle as it was hard to define, in the early stages, who had what roles. However, our team was effective because we all helped each other with different tasks and then all began to found out our strengths and our weaknesses. We all listened to each other and try to make everyone in the team feel welcome and not make them feel left out. For example, When Sandie joined our group it was a while after the team was formed so she may have felt a bit left out but we all tried to make her feel welcome and she took on the role of being in charge of all the health and safety and risk assessments for the event.…

By being an effective leader, one can use effective leadership skills to implement. Such skills such as promoting cohesion is one criteria needed in this scenario. I can incorporate cohesion by showing respect to other team members, and allow everyone to be active listeners. By showing respect to one another in a team, the members can reach the unaccomplished goal set. There are different personalities and diversities in a group, but as long as you can work together despite the diversities, attitude, behaviors, competition, the goal can be completed effectively. I enjoyed the team collaboration this week. I have so much from the videos and the team input and discussion. Effective communication is needed in all areas of teams. I know that working in team can be challenging, but always remember to put your best foot forward, and keep on moving towards the goal. Sometimes, teams may not perform in adequate time but be persistent and ask if you can be of any assistance in helping other team members. Unless, there is a leader assigned, there is not an “I” in teamwork. Working the team this week was productive and I have communication was open and to the point. Everyone discussed and posted about the scenarios on both videos as…

Another benefit of teamwork is that the teacher can divide the work out between the members of the team. This enables the individuals to concentrate on their specific duties that will contribute to the teacher’s lesson plan. This gets the job done faster. Goal setting would have been a good way to ensure the Varsity team understood and grasped the full understanding of a project, and/or the job ahead of them. This approach is appropriate since most athletes tend to be goal oriented individuals. This process works well in a competitive environment, where specific targets have to be met. A second and complimentary method could have been the Self-Efficacy Method. Coach P could have allowed the Varsity team to find out their capabilities in their own positions by granting them some independence within training (i.e. running them against time instead of the JV team). This method creates a sense of commitment and dependability amongst team members, and ultimately a sense of confidence. Both of the above methods complement each other and could have been used…

Because Paul Gaffney said this about team work in sports “Teamwork in sport presents a variety of special challenges and satisfactions. It requires an integration of talents and contributions from individual team members, which is a practical achievement, and it represents a shared pursuit, which is a moral achievement. In its best instances team sport allows members to transform individual interests into a common interest, and in the process discover of part of their own identities. Teamwork is made intelligible by the collective pursuit of victory, but moral requirements importantly condition that activity.” (Gaffney, Paul). I believe if the Point University Basketball team first understand the meaning of teamwork and how it can help them win games. There was one insistent of the team agreeing on one thing together. That day both the captains got together and said to the team what is one thing we are trying to accomplish as a team this year the whole team agreed and said the all want to win a conference campion chip or to get a ring. I believe that was the only sign of teamwork that I’ve seen come from the team this year where they all came to gather as a team and said we are going to when a championship this year. I think teamwork is one of the best keys that the team needs to come together and help each other win rather than each time they lost a game one of our player would never take credit for the lose the just took the “non-team player” is to selfish to take credit for the lost they just blame it on the…

When it comes to teamwork, most people will consider teamwork in terms of being part of a baseball, basketball, or football team. In contrast, a team is “really just a group of people who use their skills, experience, and knowledge to work toward a common goal” (Beverly K. Bachel, 2007). Teams working together in the workplace are extremely productive and profitable. Teams working together increase problem-solving skills and innovation, quality, and decrease turnover and absenteeism. (Scarnati, J 2006) Teams have an overall high success rate when well structured and the communication between the team members stays open throughout the project. A team is a collection of individuals who have gathered to achieve the same…
