III. FACTS OF THE CASE
The Coca Cola is already considered one of the most recognized brands worldwide. We can see its products almost wherever we go. The company is already offering thousands kinds of beverages all around the world – 2,800 different beverages to be specific. Moreover, the continuously-growing number of franchisee and bottlers are trying to coordinate to the common goal of the organization.
The Coca Cola management created something called Common Innovation Framework. This framework is a web-based system that combines project management capabilities with business intelligence. It is an IT platform (based on Clarity project-management software) that gives franchisee and bottlers in 50 countries the ability to search and collaborate for and reapply brand and marketing concepts around the world. As for example, the coke team in the Philippines can see what marketing strategies in America or in Europe prove to be effective, thus, they can reapply the strategy in their territory. And due to this system, they can reduce expenses in trying different strategies and they can allocate the resources in other fields in the organization.
Another innovative step that Coca cola is doing is the standardization. This concept of standardization supported by Innovation Framework is not only vital to Coke, but also important for any supply chain management.
