In this story, I learned the main message is almost everybody has a goal or a dream that they can never fulfill in life because maybe those people have very little time in their schedule they end up missing the opportunity in discovering there's something at the end of their path waiting to be discovered. In fact, a few of the people who have a lot of time in their hands will pursuit that goal or dream in life and will be thankful for having to listen to the signs of life, for they will end up receiving whatever meets in their path. In this story, there was a boy who became a shepherd because he yearned to travel the world instead of becoming a priest. During his journey, he meets an old king disguised as an old man when the old king spoke with the boy about him realizing his destiny, he told him to follow the good omens in his journey owing to the fact that it …show more content…
will help him in his long road trip in discovering his destiny. Then the king gave the boy two stones named Urim and Thummim in fact these stones will help the boy on his journey since one of the stones actually says yes while the other says no like if the boy asks a yes/no question he would randomly pull out one of the stones and it would answer his question. Later on that day, he went to Africa in order to travel to the Pyramids of Egypt to find his treasure so he went to a nearby cafe to rest a bit and to find a guide to take him to the pyramids.
The boy gets robbed by a newcomer and sets out to find a job in order to provide himself, so he went towards a merchant who sold crystals and asked if he could work for him. Soon later, the crystal merchant got new customers buy crystals from him as if the boy were a good omen, and he had take the boy for granted. For a few months, the boy learned how to speak Arabic and had an abundance of money where he can buy his flock of sheep again. The boy said to the crystal merchant he needed to leave soon and the merchant gave him his blessing. Afterwards the boy meets an Englishman who is destined to find a man called the alchemist, the Englishman asked the boy if he knew a person like that while the boy’s responds saddens the Englishman. Their journey goes well until they stop at an oasis and asked around if anybody knew a person called the alchemist or a person who cures illnesses. As a good omen appeared, the alchemist gave the boy gold after his gold was given by a chief of the tribe and the boy was beaten up, and he found out where his
treasure was located the entire time.
