The smallest of things can be considered making a difference. For example, you can easily make someone’s day better if they are having a bad day and you just listen to their …show more content…
problems and be with them. Or maybe someone is having a bad and you just simply say something nice and then you just made their whole day better without even knowing it. So I think that this theory also includes having characteristics of kindness and empathy are important so that you can easily make a difference in someone’s day. Some other ways that someone can make a difference and in a bigger way is volunteering at something that you can help people with. For example, someone can volunteer at Isaiah’s Rock to feed homeless people or they can just easily donate their old clothes that they don’t wear anymore so that someone else might enjoy them.
When I try to make a difference it makes me feel good about myself because I am trying to help people and it makes me happy to see others feel better when I help them.
I see that I can make their whole day better by just saying one thing. One thing that is considered a bigger way in making a difference was when I went to Colorado to build a firebreak trail for a Lutheran camp in the forest. I went there for a service trip for youth group to help this camp not catch on fire since there was a big fire a few years ago. Even though this took twenty four hours to make in total I think that it was worth all of that hard work so that it might save some lives later on if there is ever a big fire there. Overall, this theory is important to me and I think that people should use it in their daily lives so that they can try to make a difference, no matter how big or small it is, they are still making a difference in their life or someone else's
life.
