The Benefits Of Being A Simon Scholar
Benjamin Franklin once stated, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” The opportunities that an education provides are expansive. My parents, two Mexican immigrants, raised me to appreciate the education that they themselves were not fortunate to have. My parents’ emigration from Mexico was a sacrifice that I take to heart. Becoming part of the Simon Family Foundation would provide support in the next step of my life. Also, being a Simon Scholar is an honor that would benefit not only myself but my family. I believe I am eligible of this scholarship due to the events that have made me the person I am. Although my health and financial status have become obstacles in my life it has not caused despair in my journey towards college.
