God had created us and a world of everlasting life as he did not want any of us to go through the pain of loss from death. This would have continued if the Devil had not tempted Adam and Eve to eat the one forbidden fruit that in time subjected us to death. This making Jesus see death as an enemy. Jesus in turn allowed his friend to die in order to teach all a much needed lesson. When Lazarus died Jesus told his disciples of this and that it was time to go see the grave. Jesus had such compassion for ones suffering and this is where his miracles came from. Jesus had allowed the death of Lazarus as a lesson and his calling him from the tomb he made it clear why he had come. When a large crowd gathered for the funeral Jesus showed his powers and resurrecting Lazarus; moreover, giving an example to the people of his own resurrection to come. This all was done in order to show Jesus’ enemies just how large of a threat he could be. He was in total control of all and now all knew it. He knew he would be tortured and crucified for all of us; therefore, he wanted everyone to know that he would be back just as he had brought his friend
