The film “The Castle” is a classic comedy Australian film directed, written and filmed in 11 days costing up to $750.000 (which now isnt much in Hollywood productions today) this movie was a huge hit in 1997 making over one million dollars in sales and got a good response form the Los Angeles News. This movie is about a middle class families’ battle with local government and big developers to protect his house from compulsory acquisition. There were a lot of funny moments and parts that you want to replay over and over. There are a lot of quotes in the movie from “you rippa” to “a man’s home is his castle.” The film has a great story line behind it and has a lot of irony behind it as well as some stereotyping. There are some funny and yet stupid lines
