During the Middle Ages the religion for most
Europe, and a lot of the world was Catholic Christian. But that didn't last forever. Multiple problems and hardships led to the decline of catholic Church, which led to reformation. For example, the bubonic
plague, (The black death) a disease originated from rodents in the 1330s killed a third of the population.
The people really lost faith in the religion after there was little help from churches, as there was little they could do. Religion experienced a huge change over time.
Political structures and views are always changing in the world.
But never did it change more greatly between the middle ages and the reformation. During the middle ages feudalism was a very popular and commonly seen economic structure. This structure consisted of lord or a master, vassals, fiefs etc. This was used so much because it provided safety and defense in small communities. Citizens often lived in manors. Lords offered peasants protection, in exchange for working and living on his land. Around the time of the
Renaissance and reformation lands were divided into city states. None dominated the other, they were self governed. Politics changed very much over these time periods. Socially the world as a whole is constantly changing. New trends will always come and fade. The same happened years ago in the middle ages, in the 12th century Europe grew more prosperous and more goods were being produced.
They started to trade with the world using trade routes. Cargo ships were supplying iron, copper, and lead. Along with tons of other raw materials. During the age of the Renaissance, more things were starting to be traded in different areas. Not only were raw materials shipped, but also artworks and paintings. The conditions of sailing where improved, which made it more convenient to ship overseas, and to travel. Asian spices got to Europe along with clothing, especially women's clothes which was vastly sought for at the time. Socially over this time period many things had changed.
In conclusion, religion, political, and social views, were the most significant changes over the middle ages to reformation era. Religion going from Catholic to a more humanist belief.
Political views displaying feudalism to self govern city states. And socially, trade advancing overtime. All of these factors were great changes over time.
