It is a fact that guns are one of the easiest weapons to be used for killing. However, there is a solution that won’t take the rights from citizens and still keep more lives safe. Gun control is a serious issue. It has a large impact on life and death related consequences. Guns should not be banned, but they should still have increased regulations. Gun control has been a complicated and controversial issue for a long time. The security at places where guns can be bought should be increased. Guns should have an emergency tracker, so that if they are somehow stolen the police can catch the thief. If someone escaped with a stolen gun they would be caught by the police and arrested. It is possible to make a scanner that sends an alarm if the gun detects that someone who is not the owner is using the gun. If someone stole the gun and tried to use it, the gun would send a message to the police and/or the owner so the police could arrest the criminal. The only way to stop criminals with guns is to either to oppose them with another gun or to disable their gun. Banning gun ownership would have many negative impacts. Police officers need guns to defend themselves, so if they own them they will technically be criminals. The people that enforce the law and keep criminals off the streets will be criminals themselves if they have a weapon that they will almost certainly need. If a dangerous person has a gun, then only someone else with a gun can stop him or her without a large number of lives being lost. Criminalizing guns would just backfire and cause the opposite of what it is supposed to. Gun ownership should still continue but there should be more security over guns.
