A useful communication technique that could be used that is respectful for cultural differences is working with the children to perhaps use resources such as artwork and craft for the children to give to the community members, but as a childcare service the staff could create a system, website, letter system, communication board at the service that enables the community and the center to have effective but culturally safe communication techniques.
A useful work practice that could be used at the center is making sure that all staff, children and families are aware of land heritage and learn to respect what is around them. Making sure that all children and staff are aware of the culture that is around them and involving the children in the
