The Lightning Thief Book Vs Movie
Book vs. Movie Some people say that the movie is better than the book but is it really? In this argument I will discuss how the book is better than the movie. In this case the book “The Lightning Thief” is better than the movie because the book includes all fun and exciting scenes that help and make you use your imagination a lot more than the movie itself. The movie excludes characters that are important and some that are but, either way characters make the movie happen so they should be included they also make a better scenery. Talking about scenery “The Beach Fight” makes the storyline complete. The three reasons the book is better than the movie are that the book includes scenes, it has all the characters, and it has “The Beach Fight”. …show more content…
In the book “The Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief’’ includes or makes the chapters better and more interesting compared to the movie. “The Toilet Scene’’ would have made the movie more interesting and funny.“The Toilet Scene’’ wasn't the only scene taken out or changed but the “Medusa Scene” was changed which didn't make as much sense as in the book because they’re not aloud to bring their devices\phones on campus and he used his case of his phone. “The Escaping Scene” happened to quickly and seemed as if they just popped out of nowhere, unlike the book which made it more descriptive. As you can see scenes are important to include even if their important or not because it has more

Why is it that when a book gets it’s own movie that there are several differences between the book and the movie? Some people argue that the book is always better than the movie. There is a reason for this. Firstly, in most book to movie adaptations small details are changed or are just not included. Secondly, the movie often takes short cuts and doesn’t touch on certain aspects that were described in the book. Lastly, when reading a book you are free to make your own subtext and fill in the blanks with your imagination. The movie adaptations of books have always lacked the detail that's in the book, some things are completely cut from the movie to maintain a well paced story, and it fills in the gaps for us making the experience less unique.…

Movies and books are always different; in a movie you can show multiple characters, and in most books you're stuck in one character's narrative. For instance in the book The Giver the character Fiona doesn’t care about Jonas as deeply as she does in the movie. In the movie she stops her injections, and she starts to love Jonas. However in the book she only “enjoys having Jonas’s company”. In the movie she also helps Jonas steal Gabe before he is killed, and she is put in the community jail for helping him. Before she is going to be released she talks about how she has felt things. That she knows what it is like to truly feel, and in the book she isn’t this unorthodox.…

There are some movies that are adapted from the novel such as Harry Potter, Da Vinci Code, Twilight Saga, The Hunger Games and Lagenda Budak Setan. What are the differences between watching a movie and reading a novel? There are some contrasts between the two actions. One of the differences is by watching a movie, you just need to sit and relax. It is very easy since you only need to watch it and understands it. Furthermore, you can watch the movie while doing something else such as eating or exercising. You do not really have to focus like to imagine how the atmosphere is in the movie at that time or how a person is walking down the streets. Lastly, you can avoid disbelief since it is a multi-sensory experience. On the other hand, by reading…

First of all, one of the biggest reasons the movie is better than the book is because of the quality of the flashbacks. In the book the flashbacks were more set in the past and much longer, sometimes too drawn out and a little boring for how much background story there is for just one day dream, whereas in the movie the daydreams are a bit shorter but more set in the present and more affect by what he does in that moment with little background because of how short they are and how close to the present they may be. The daydreams are usually much more exciting in the movie as well, whereas in the book it's set back to just a boring doctor surgery, that was…

One thing in particular that the book does much better is making use of complex metaphors and themes, such as: the river for life, and oneness with nature, that string themselves together as you turn each page of the book, while in the movie the metaphors and symbolism are represented in a much different way through picture. In the book, both themes regarding the river are very vivid and clear, as they use strong imagery of nature to draw pictures in the minds of the readers. In the movie both themes are represented and referred to much less because of the lack of narration.…

Why I think the moviemaker chose those difference between the book and the movie was because in the book there was a narrator to tell you specific things. The narrator is there to tell some background information and make sure you get a better grasp of what’s taking place. So I feel as if in the movie they wanted you to pay closer attention to what was happening. And you have to have some differences between the two. While in the movie you can see more action and can sometimes explain things better by acting out, rather than being written out.…

In novels Twilight and The Lightning Thief series, they include immortality and gods who fly. They also include angelic superhero-like characters and heavily symbolic characters. In Twilight immortality is used. The vampires in Twilight are not living which makes them strong, independent and free. They do not have to worry about age or a horrific death. There are also werewolves that have superhero-like powers and they can transform and turn into strong beautiful creatures. Although they are not immortal they still have freedom of the world. In the Lightning Thief there are demigods and greek gods of the World. They are angelic like superheros who rule over the world. They are free and do not go by the Laws of Gravity. They are also not immortal…

My choice for my book report is the lightning thief by Rick Riordan, it was called the lightning thief because Percy Jackson who is the protagonist of the story was accused of stealing the weapon of Zeus (the lightning bolt) Percy had two friends in camp half-blood namely Grover and Annabeth. These two people help our hero Percy in his quest to prove that he did not steal the lightning bolt from Zeus. There is also Luke, the real lightning thief, who acted nice to Percy in order to frame him up. To sum it all up the book is about a special little boy who feels inferior because he has ADHD and dyslexia. Later on, he was sent to camp half-blood in order to be protected from Hades and his monsters. But knowing that they are…

What makes war so atrocious? While the bombs, people, and battles make up a fair portion of it, the most fundamental aspect is the way the war is told. In the play, “The Diary of Anne Frank”, and the novel, “The Book Thief”, the main characters, Anne and Liesel, face similar and different struggles during the most destructive war in history, World War II. However, their points of view of the war differ from each other in numerous ways.…

Whenever you read a book and then go watch the movie, most of the time they don’t follow the same events in the same order. Just like in the myth “Perseus” and the movie, Clash of the Titans, the event are not all the same and some of the causes of the events are not the same either. Different things happen in the movies that are not even close to some of the things in the myth. These differences can either make the story better or just make it less interesting.…
