1. The Manuscript contains numerous grammatical errors, misleading statements, and non-standard terminology (example, cell demise instead of cell death).

2. It is stated in the abstract that that distorted mitochondrial working provokes cell to generate excessive ROS. How do they know this with certainty? Could not cellular (non-mitochondrial) oxidant stress cause mitochondrial dysfunction? Studies presented in the manuscript do not rule out the contributions of cellular oxidant stress.

3. I am quite aware that because this study involves human subjects, it may not be possible to obtain gastrointestinal lymphocytes. However, I wonder whether the study of peripheral blood lymphocytes accurately recapitulates functions of gastrointestinal lymphocytes
