The Memorable Event in My Life
When asked of my most memorable moment in my life, it would be my trip to Penang. This is especially memorable because this is the first Penang trip with my family. This would be a perfect getaway for my hectic life in school. Furthermore, I have always wondered if the Penang food is as scrumptious as its fame for it.

We took off early in the morning and I was feeling excited already. On the way, we would kill off time by playing the word game in the car. It is a usual routine for a long car ride. Each of us would come out with a word for all the selected alphabets. The one that could not continue would lose and bare the shame of being called a loser. Usually, it is always my brother on the losing streak. Hours later, we arrived to our hotel. They would not let me know which hotel we are staying to tease on my curiosity and excitement for this trip. I was happy and excited to finally find out that we are going to spend the night at Hard Rock Penang. Better yet, my father has booked a junior rock suite for me and my brother. It was the cutest hotel suite I have ever stayed in. The room is decorated with rock star themes and the bed is the shape of a guitar.

Our primary goal is to have some good food. We went to the Gurney Drive to have some street food. We tried Penang Char Kuey Teow, Penang Laksa, Penang Lor Bak, Penang Chendol and Penang Chee Cheong Fun. All are famous local delicacies. We could not believe we could gorge in so much food in a day but we did. We went to the Penang Street Art wall mural trail after that. We took some funny pictures with the street art and my father posed in postures I never imagined I would see.

At night, we returned to our hotel and had dinner in Hard Rock Café. The food is average but the atmosphere is really engaging. There were costumes and music equipments of famous artistes like Elton John and Elvis Presley. There was also this little Hard Rock merchandise shop attached to the café. I begged my brother to buy me a

One very long month later, everyone's bags were packed and we was off to Tennessee! After five lengthy hours and passing through a time zone, I spotted the breathtaking view of Nashville. As we entered our hotels parking lot, I got out of the car and stared in awe of all the bright colorful lights and building against the dark night sky. It was stunning. My family and I walked into the hotel to be greeted by a welcoming smile from the lady behind the desk. We got our room keys and went to out room. It was decorated with pictures of guitars and a warm welcoming goldish yellow wallpaper. Although it was already nine o'clock, our night had just began.…

We lunched at “Sam Wo Restaurant” on 713 Clay ST, for it was rated #1 on Yelp. It was delicious, authentic, and the servers spoke English! (I know this is sad, but it was a little scary eating in China Town.) We walked through the streets filled with fresh produce and dead fish everywhere. The BEST part was the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory. We watched two old Asian women take the fresh cookie circles and place them on shapers. Then we were given samples of the fresh fortune cookies! It was down an alley and felt secretive. We also visited a few souvenir shops and Sarah found a cheap t-shirt for her…

This lively feeling was short lived as my most ‘memorable moment’ happened during our journey back home. The bus was filled with cultural music and we were all eating away at the traditional American cheese burgers with fries. This peaceful and friendly atmosphere was soon disturbed by a large burst and tilting movement of the coach. We all looked on ahead with our stuffed mouths waiting upon the news of what was going on. We were informed that the tyres had burst and, in no other than one of the busiest places in the world. New York City.…

My most memorable dining experience surprisingly happened on a regular midweek evening. I was packed and ready for my month trip, my flight was scheduled early in the morning and I knew I had some time on my hands. I wanted to spend it with my best friend before I left, and with that great idea in mind I headed to her place of work, Emeril’s Restaurant. I had never dined there before due to the pricy tag that every fine dining restaurant carries, but that day I decided to start my vacation early and splurge myself. I’m really glad I did! Everyone should experience a fine dining atmosphere at least once in their lifetime because those exceptional memories are priceless.…

    Most Memorable Event

The most memorable event that I have been to was in 2006 when I went to a Harlem Globetrotters game with my family. The game was held at the Time Warner Cable arena and it was the first time that I have been in the Time Warner Cable Arena which made it even more memorable. When I first walked into the Arena I was in complete awe. At the time, I’ve never seen a place so big in person. So many seats, so many people and we were on the first row right behind the goal. I was on cloud nine and that was not even the best part. A man walking by who happened to be one of the coordinators of the whole event overheard my cousin and I trash talking to each other about who was a better player and who could shoot better. The guy came up to us and said “I like the trash talk. Want to settle it on the court?” And we both nodded excitingly. Apparently the guy was walking around the Arena to find two people to play in the halftime event and we just so happened to be the lucky two.…

It didn't take me much effort to decide on what to write about when the instructor announced the next assignment "three memorable events". This phrase was enough and those three events jumped immediately to my mind, that school trip to Petra in 2009 was un forgettable one, yet that incident when I lost my passport in De Gaulle airport Paris was terrifying and recently my oldest brother's wedding back home in Jordan, was a real family celebration.…

    My Vocation

Last weekend, I went to Vung Tau beach with my boyfriend by motorbike. We started on the journey at five o’clock on Saturday morning from HCMC. All necessary things had been prepared since Friday evening. We followed the way crossing Cat Lai ferry to Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province. It is about 20km nearer than the way through Bien Hoa City. On the way, we could enjoy a view and breathe a gust of wind on Saigon river. It was so difficult for us to pass a long high road because the road have been repairing and widening. We also stopped by a small restaurant to have breakfast. It took us about 3 hours to get there. After renting a small room from a hotel near front beach/ behind beach, we wallowed in sea water (swam in the sea) about an hour. It was very exciting for us to bath in a light sun with small waves, gusts of sea-breeze and a crowded beach. We had lunch at a small restaurant with many kinds of delicious sea food. In the afternoon, we stayed in bed then went to the beach at 5PM. In the evening, we went for a walk on the road surrounding the beach to enjoy sea sight at night then came back for sleeping at midnight. We had a very deep sleep after an interesting and utterly (entirely) exhausted day. On Sunday morning, we woke up so late then had breakfast in the hotel. We also sunbathed on the beach at 9AM and enjoyed surfing with a speed-boat on the water surface. When the sun was at its zenith, we went back the hotel to check out then returned home at 11 AM. On the way back, we stopped for lunch at Long Thanh district and bought some fruits as well as took a break at once. We were present at home about 5PM. That was an interesting and exciting weekend…
