the murder of Dunkan Macbeth saw a vision of dagger. The second place is when we hear the cry and recognize that queen killed herself. She cannot deal with the guilt and paranoia. But the saddest about this moment is the reply of Macbeth. He lost his peace inside him and feelings. Macbeth’s situation was hopeless. The third place is the conclusion when Macduff and Macbeth had conversation. Macbeth found out that Macduff are not of woman born. He understood that it was his last minutes. His speech was full of regrets, even sometimes he wanted to die at the same time he wanted to live. All these three examples are very good demonstrating how the emotion of fear is replaced by the emotion of pity. The plot is arranged confusing and very dramatically with interesting conclusion.
The complication is when Macbeth decided to kill the king. To hide this murder he must kill others to protect himself from suspicion. At the end (denouement) we found out that Macbeth cannot save him from the prophecy of witches. Macduff are not of woman born. No one can stop him and he killed Macbeth. Also, the climax of the tragedy is when new king Macbeth invited to his banquet his friends. Before it he killed Banquo. The ghost of his friend came to the Macbeth’s banquet. him. As Aristotle said “that character is second only to plot in its importance to the drama.” Here we have as protagonist Macbeth and as antagonist his wife. They complement each other.
At the beginning Macbeth was courageous and brave. But through his wife he made the worst decision in his life what leaded him to his fall. He was very concern on fulfillment of the prophecy of three witches. He cannot dealt with his ambitions. At the same time Lady Macbeth was very mentally strong, sometimes even stronger then her husband. She always tamped her husband to bad decisions. But at the end gave in and even killed herself. In this tragedy we see that usually it is not necessarily to have protagonist and antagonist are good, they can be both evil. In my opinion, Macbeth was very arrogant and ambitious, it was his fatal flaw.
First time we can find it after the murder of the king Dunkan. For that moment for him it was hard to stop. He believed that he had right to fulfill prophecy (become the king by killing the king Duncan) and kill others. With each murder (Dunkan, Duncan's servants, Banquo, family of Macduff) we see like his ambitions winning his soul. He became immoral. He was afraid that someone will recognize that he killed the king and even killed his best friend. For him did not matter which methods he is using, but to satisfy his ambitions. It turns out that their actions through others he killed
himself. Three major thoughts of the play are ambitions, sorrow for protagonist’s sins and their consequences. Macbeth’s ambitions leaded to the killing of the king. It made him to make many other sins (murders). We can feel with Macbeth his sorrow and sympathize with him. At the end we see consequences of his decisions by his fatal fall. Anyway the reading of Macbeth teaches us a lot and encourages virtue in the audience member by showing thoughts and feeling his heart. At the same time we are free to judge what we read, we can make our own conclusion, understanding. Macbeth is a great example of how to empathize. Also, we understand how we should control our ambitions and to what it could lead us. Macbeth is poetry was written in blank verse, what is in regular metrical, but unrhymed lines, iambic pentameter. It adds the drama to the play. Also, it makes speech more abrupt, rich and varied. Another thing what does it too is monologues. They are fully showing the characters and telling about themselves, even they do not want it. My favorite example is the monologue of Macbeth, when he started to talk after the death of his wife. At that moment we can feel how he was alone and how his situation was tragic. We feel sorrow with the protagonist and how his life did not make sense. It added a lot drama to the play and readers can be more susceptibility. As Aristotle said "plot is the principle element, or starting place, for a dramatic poet: 'The plot, then, is the first principle, and, as it were, the soul of a tragedy.' Plot refers not to the story alone, but to anything that affects the organization of the action." I think it help us understand that sometimes we do not need music to feel fully a drama. Shakespeare created in blank verse amazing feelings. He showed some interesting monologues and dialogues what help us to empathize with the characters. For example, when Lady Macbeth woke up to wash hands from the blood, we feel like author escalated the situation and helped us to perceive sorrow. Oh, I really like Macbeth. I think it is a masterpiece what helps us to know what we should not to do and how to deal with ambitions. The plot is so confusing, but at the same time unexpected. It was very sad to see the fall of Macbeth. He was very brave and had huge potential, but he used it unwisely. One of my favorite passages is Macbeth found out that Macduff was not of woman born. At the end of the play we feel sorrow and feel that Macbeth do not have chance to change something is his life. At the same time understand that someone needs to stop him. I wish he could make the right decision on the beginning and stay alive. We see what can happen to people who not choose wisely. The moral is clear, no matter who you are, most importantly which choices you made.
