‘’ The OutSiders ’’ - was magnificent It had some differences And it had some similarities .
In the book Pony got his hair cut off and Darry did hit Ponyboy .Pony and Johnny did sleep at the lot and They did save kids from the fire . Dally did die in both book and movie .

In the movie PonyBoy has white hair In the book he had brown hair . In the book They lived in the East and West but in the movie was North and South There was no farmer in the book but there was one in the movie .

In the movie they climbed a jungle gym in the book they never did .There was a racoon in the movie but there was never one in the book .In the movie Pony and Cherry went to the snack line but in the book they stayed in the movie . In the movie they had

    It contains very strong theme about dysfunctional family, use of drugs and crime. I guess the board of education was afraid that the students will imitate the events in the book. However, I understand why they decided to re-allow it in schools. The author, who wrote this book around our age really wanted to deliver that we can all live together in peace and conflict only bring more conflict. Although the family in the Outsiders wasn’t the best family you could ask for, they had so much love inside them they didn’t actually portray to each other. They just didn’t know the right way to express it. I would rate this book 4/5 because of the effectiveness of the author trying to deliver her message in a coherent manner. I highly recommend all teenagers to read this book. Overall, I think this compelling story will grasp even the most reluctant readers thanks to the deep bond of sympathy.     The Outsiders, directed by Francis Ford Coppola was released in 1983. Ponyboy Curtis (C. Thomas Howell) is a greaser whose parents were killed in a car accident. He and his friends: Johnny (Ralph Macchio), Dally (Matt Dillon), Two-Bit (Emilio Estevez), and Steve (Tom Cruise), and brothers, Darry (Patrick Swayze) and Soda (Rob Lowe), are always getting in fights with a gang called the Socs. One night, best friend Johnny, are attacked by Socs. The Socs almost drown Ponyboy, and Johnny, defending Ponyboy, stabs Bob (a Soc). Pony, and Johnny find a church to hide out in. A bunch of little kids are trapped inside the church which caught on fire, and Pony, Johnny, and Dally save them. Ponyboy gets out ok, Dally burns his arm, but a huge piece of wood falls on Johnny, breaking his back, and burning him badly.     Both characters are quiet, scared of the Socs, lack parental guidance due to loss of parents and abusive parents, and both are the most innocent members of the greasers. On the other hand these two characters were different as well. Johnny was also different than Ponyboy by their age, being an only child, one carried a knife, one coming from abusive parents while the other lost his parents. The story is centered on the life of Ponyboy Curtis. In short the story is about two groups of people, the Socials (Socs) and the Greasers. It is a story of the poor and the rich against each other. These two gangs are full of people who dislike each other intensely. After Ponyboy is attacked by the Socs in the beginning of the novel, a fight breaks out between the two gangs.
