The Princess Chose The Tiger Analysis
Another point that suggests the princess chose the tiger is by looking at how the princess feels about this dilemma. It has already been established in the story that the two were true lovers and would do anything to stay together. Furthermore, before the king caught them, “this love affair moved on happily for many months” (Stockton 2). So when analyzing the torture that the princess would feel if her lover was either devoured by the tiger or if her lover and the lady ended up marrying, it is easily concluded that the princess could not bear her lover and the lady together as “often had she seen, or imagined that she had seen, this [lady] throwing glances of admiration upon the person of her lover, and sometimes she thought these glances were

Will the boy choose the fish or Sheila? Here are a few reasons why he would choose the girl. First, he was constantly trying to impress her. The princess in “The Lady or the Tiger” struggles when determining the youth’s fate either consisting of death or marriage to another beautiful lady as she contemplates “Which [door to open. The answer is] as plain to her as if [the youth] shouted it from where he stood. There was not an instant to be lost. The question [of which door to open] was asked in a flash; it must be answered in another” (Stockton 302). The princess is forced to decide the youth’s fate in a split second. The short amount of time that is taken for her to make her decision suggests that her emotions may have overruled reason and could lead to her regretting her decision later in life. In a single second, lives could be drastically changed. Up until the last moment, the youth, that the princess had loved, believes that she will spare him; he has a blind faith in the princess and trusts in her choices. The king’s daughter’s heart is torn during this point of decision. She must decide whether she would prefer to see the youth dead or with the lady whom she…

Because she is clearly in love with him, she seems to stand firm on her opinion that the thought of another woman being with him is sickening. Finally, the princess believes that it would be less complicated if he were to die so that she may see him again in the afterlife. The princess was repulsive toward the idea of the ‘young man’ being with another woman. Therefore, if he were to die by the hands (or paws; tee hee) of the tiger, then they could be together in the afterlife. Furthermore, it was illegal for a servant/peasant to be in love with the princess; therefore, making the decision easier. If the two lovers cannot be together while they were alive, then they could be together in the afterlife when the two of them had both passed. In conclusion, the princess signaled for the ‘young man’ to open the door with the tiger because: the princess was semi-barbaric and relished in the sight of blood/violence, she was more afraid of seeing the ‘young man’ with another woman, and they could simply be with one another in the afterlife (due to the laws that outlaw all romance between royalty and non-royalty.) So the next person that is to read the shocking story, choose correctly when given the honoring opportunity to select the…

I chose to do my audience analysis on Philippa Gregory’s books The White Princess. The book is a historical fiction book based on the lives of King Henry the 7th and Elizabeth of York. The primary audience for this book is for people who are interesting about the history and the people of the British monarchy. The reason that I believe that this is the primary audience for this book is because most people do not want to learn about Elizabeth of York unless they are interested in her and her life. Another reason that I think that this is the primary audience is because this book follows the history and issues that were going on during that time. People that would want to read this book are people that are interested about the royals back then and what happened in their lives and the issue and threats that they were facing at the time. For example, the book talks about how King Henry the 7th had issues with people pretending to be one Elizabeth’s brothers who were killed in the tower. A few young men came forward during that time and pretended that they were one of the brothers…
