Raven stood at the huge stone doors that would supposedly be hiding her husband. Her heart was pounding against her chest and her hands were shaking frantically as she gripped the handle on the door. As she pondered opening the door, she couldn’t help but wonder how she got in this situation in the first place. She just wanted to spend quality time with her husband, she didn’t expect to be looking for him through the Amazon forest.

Raven snapped out of her thoughts and decided to examine the nature since it calmed her. She watched the birds and wildlife. It was truly beautiful.
“We’re here,” she heard Hugo say. Raven had fallen asleep and she didn’t even realize it. Raven and Hugo got out of the car and headed to the door. It was a huge stone-made building with a stone door and a handle. Forest trees and wildlife covered the building. She put her hand on the handle with hesitation.
“Do you need help opening it,” Hugo asked her. Without saying anything she stepped back and allowed him to take her place. He put his hand on the handle and started to pull. Raven felt like it was happening in slow motion. Each centimeter the door opened, she felt herself becoming more

He tries to ease his sorrow by distracting himself with books of old folklore. While he is napping, he hears a rapping at his chamber door. He opens the door and peeks out wondering if by chance he would see his love, but to his dismay, no one is there. Next, he hears a tapping at the window lattice; he swings open the windows and a raven steps in and perches on top of the bust of Pallas (Goddess of wisdom). The raven symbolizes a non-reasoning creature who can only say the word "nevermore". The speaker puts himself through a bought of self-torture by continuing to ask this bird questions to which he already knows the answer to, and for which he knows the raven can only answer "nevermore". The raven sitting atop the bust of Pallas is a symbol to the speaker, because he believes that the raven is wise because he is perched on the goddess of wisdom. I awoke in the early hours of the morning as usual. The air was thick and wet, but the day’s hunt wouldn’t wait. I got up and stretched my legs before checking the traps I set the evening before. The forest seemed unsettlingly too quiet. Did I wake up earlier than I usually would have? I walked down to the waterhole, to see if any of my nets were filled. There was a soft mist over the shallows, creating an ominous feel. I checked up and down the banks, but my nets had all vanished. With the sounding of the raven’s caw, I decided to head back up to camp. I heard a quick rattle in the leaves due east of my position, so I made haste to draw my bow and hold her steady in firing position. My breath was heavy as the musk in the air poured into my lungs.…
