Like I said, hard determinists believe that determinism and free will are incompatible. Meaning that we cannot act without some kind of constraint. This argument is given by the “No Free Will Thesis”. This thesis states that every event is predetermined (which is shown in determinism thesis), so therefore when we act, the action is caused by factors of which we have no control, so if our actions are a result of factors of which we have no control, we cannot act freely. The “No Free Will Thesis” is one of the reasons why I believe that hard determinists view of the relationship with free will is the best. That being said, in the next paragraph I will give an objection to a premise of hard determinism and attempt to show why it doesn’t
