The Singing Butler Monologue
The Singing Butler
“Nati! There you are.” He rushed over to where she was seated on the ground on the BACKSHORE of the Spanish beach, and he joined her. Her stilettos lay there, partly covered by the sand, where she had kicked them off and left them. She appeared to have been there staring out in to the sea for a while. Wearing a long, scarlet gown with a HEMLINE just below her ankles, matching gloves, and her silky, chestnut hair elegantly pulled up, Natalia looked exceptionally beautiful. But by the disheartened expression on her face, he could tell that she didn’t feel as blissful, confident, or glamorous as her appearance should have her feel.
“What are you doing here, Natalia? I was looking for you, and I never found you in the crowd. Claudia told me that she saw you arrive to the banquet, but you quickly left.” Antonio quietly waited for her to respond, but they both sat there in silence, except for her low, muffled weeping. He looked to the ground, studying his designer dress shoes, with wet sand already cohering to the OUTSOLES. Antonio finally questioned, “Nati, I don’t understand. What happened? “Antonio, I was! It’s just that when I walked in… As soon as I entered and was surrounded by all those people who are so much richer than me, I felt so out of place. There I was, in a dress fancier than I’d ever touched before in my life, trying to pretend to fit in at an event for one of the most important families in Valencia. I felt terrible that I left you. It was your banquet after all. I’m sorry.” After just a minute, she broke back into tears. Antonio said nothing, but just sat with her, trying to empathize with what she

I try to visit her at least once a day since she's most of the time locked down there looking at the floor, I opened the door into the dark basement, I try to look for the light lamp that is around the cage, as I turned it on I hear the chain shackles move around “it's ok…

"To where" she inquired with her face awash with confusion. " To grab a drink, you're already dressed the part milady" his suave deep tone washed over her wrecking her common sense and took his hand in silence. Sebastian pulled her as close as he led her on a gentle strolled out into a city getting ready for the twilight, public houses where one could find food and drink were lit up with crystal laps that glowed with a soft white light. Free from the stench of death she could smell the scents of food vendors roasting meat in portable carts, it was a common scene in the lower quarter of the city that where the working class people lived. It was not often she came to such a rough area but her own powers gave her a confidence that only doubled with the man beside her.…

It was March, but still frigid in Detroit. With the humming of the heater and the strong rustic winds outside, it was still quiet and calm. There sat 16 year old Veronica Skyes on her bed with her laptop, typing away. The constant pitter patter of her delicate hands bouncing on the keys sounded relaxing. Her room was pretty clean, other than the pile of clothes in the corner of her closet.…

Dear Tom Williams, I am feeling bereft, to the point of writing to you in regards to your 'extraordinary' capitalisation and 'Blue Plaque hailed as tribute to an 'overlooked' academic;' article -- in reference to James Legge's blue plaque at No 3 Keble Terrace, Oxford. Naturally, you're unaware of the generic idiocies and perverse indoctrinations James Legge offered as fact at the echelon of Pantheism Lecture i.e. (Oxford University). I simper shamefully when I state this.... I am not remotely surprised his Great Grandson Christopher Legge appears myopically bemused during the blue plaque ceremony.…
