The Very Hungry Caterpillar By Eric Carle
The goals that I have for reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle in the classroom is because it is an excellent book that extends across the teacher kindergarten curriculum. By reading the book children can learn about the life cycle of a butterfly, proper food choices by introducing them to the Food Pyramid, number sense, even and odd numbers, making predictions, estimation and vocabulary. The students will also learn about the author, illustrator, and the title and make predictions as to why the author chose to write this story.

Objectives:
-The students will be able to recognize the sequence of events within a story
-The students will be able to retell the story in the correct sequence
-The students will be able to learn new

She will ask the students if anyone has every held a caterpillar before, and if so can they recall (Blooms-Knowledge) what it looked and also what it felt like in their hand.

2) Musical/Rhythm, Visual/Spatial, Intrapersonal The Teacher will explain to the students that we will be signing and learning a days of the week song, watching a video about healthy eating in order to incorporate everything on a “what did we eat” tracker for the week.
- The teacher will send an instruction sheet (Refer to Handout 3) home with the students in order for them to generate (Blooms-Synthesize) their “what did we eat” tracker.
- The teacher will put a due date on the assignment and once the assignment is turned in each student will briefly get the opportunity present their tracker to the

The activity sheets that are provided with this lesson outline will also be able to give me an idea of whether the students retained the information or not.

B) Will grades be assigned and recorded?
-For this particular lesson plan grades will be assigned and recorded. Students will have 3 assignments that are incorporated with the reading of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

C) How does the strategy you demonstrate affects students that have reading and/or learning difficulties?
-The strategy that I have will affect some students with reading disabilities because some might fall behind while trying to do the closer butterfly activity that is assigned. I have personally seen some students that have trouble using the scissors or reading the numbers on the paper, which will cause them to get frustrated and not finish the assignment. Its my job as a teacher to provide more assistance to those students and reassure them that if they don’t finish than they will be given another opportunity to finish the assignment at home. This is where the parent/teacher communication comes in. Without the parent support than the child suffers even more as she moves

In one door stood a ravenous tiger and in the other stood a fair maiden. This is what the suspenseful short story the Lady and the Tiger By: Frank Stockton leads up to. This was a semi-barbaric kings way of administering justice, at the cruel incorruptible hand of change for he did not know behind what door laid the tiger or the lady. On front of these doors stood a peasant man, this man was accused of having a relationship with the king's daughter who like her father was semi-barbaric. This princess did a little bit of sleuthing and had come onto the secret of what and who was behind each door, a knowledge that was hidden from all of the citizens even the king himself.…

Humans are little more than complex organisms reacting to stimuli in their environment. Some would argue that humans are transparent and simple; we have needs and simply seek to fulfill them. There is a specific order to our behavior and that behavior is being driven by a need or desire. Camus challenged this notion with The Stranger. In one sense he upheld the idea that we simply strive to fulfill needs.…

Dirty fiction is a writing technique that became popular around the 1980s. It focused on the life of ordinary middle-class people, which involved heartbreaks, failures, disappointments, and the harsh realities of life. Dirty fiction writing is commonly associated with simple language, direct descriptions, straightforward vocabulary, and no resolution. Background information, setting details, and complex sentence structure are very scarce in this style of writing style. Raymond Carver was one of many who frequently used the dirty fiction technique.…
