Have you ever wondered about the great mother of the Sun, the Moon and the Dawn? Theia, a titan goddess, is believed to be the mother of the Sun, Moon and Dawn, goddess of all shining things,and iis also included in the creation of mankind. Although she is regarded as a minor goddess, she played quite the role in greek mythology and even blazed the trail for the gift of light.
Born from Uranus and Gaeia, she was one of the first twelve titan gods to rule to world. Known as a always a beautiful woman, she was depicted to have long hair and flowing clothes to help show more light. Her symbol was her all-knowing eyes. Greeks believed her eyes emitted a beam hat allowed them to see.(Geller 1) She later went on to marry Hyperion, god of heavenly light and her brother, and together they gave birth to three children.
