Theme Of Being Alone In Of Mice And Men
At some point in someone's life, they have had the experience of feeling alone and actually being alone. John Steinbeck, author of Of Mice and Men showed two major themes in his novel, loneliness, and isolation. Three characters; Candy, Crooks, and Curley's wife had shown specific ways that they had expressed their emotions of being alone, those feelings shaped who they were. They have been kept away, socially and emotionally isolated from others.
Candy is an old ranch worker who lost one hand and feels much useless to be even working at the ranch, yet he has a kind heart towards others. The only companion he has ever had was a dog and as it aged it also got useless. After being pressured by all the ranch workers, he lost his only true
