As I’ve previously stated, trauma can be hectic. There are times when there is so much happening that focus is just about impossible. This is where the Bee Gees have been a blessing. When faced with the worst of traumas, sometimes you need to just step back for a moment and compose. An anxious responder is no help to anyone, doing more harm than good in most cases. It is in these situations that I have taken a moment, and ran through the rhythm of “Stayin’ Alive.” It may seem unproductive, given the circumstances, to hum a song to myself, but it allows me time. The time I need to compose myself and take in the scene in it’s entirety. This, in turn, clears my head and allows me to give the best care that I can
