This Is Us Movie Analysis
Have you ever seen a show that really grabs more than your attention? It starts with every emotion you could ever think of and keep in mind that emotions come from your limbic system in the brain, so it’s not your heart, but of course also your heart, and it ends with someone cutting onions while you watch each episode. It might be the plot or even the characters but it’s something that creator and executive producer, Dan Fogelman, brought to the NBC Network in 2016. This Is Us television series is set in the family drama genre.

This Is Us focuses on the Pearson family. Jack Pearson (dad) played by Milo Ventimiglia, Rebecca (mom) played by Mandy Moore, Kate (daughter) played by Chrissy Metz, and the two sons, Randall & Kevin played by Sterling K. Brown & Justin Hartley.

Every episode is well written; however, Fogelman gives out many cliches, which makes people say it’s too predictable even though he tries to give you the unexpected.

Nowadays you have all sorts of television series that involve some type of life or death situation, heroic, Syfy, action, zombies etc..You don’t really see shows that involve family real life situations. This is a show where big, tragic things happen. You never know what will pop up, but one thing for sure is that Fogelman never forgets to remind us that it’s the little things that count the most. It outweighs the bad. No matter how heavy the bad is. Family & hope are two very important things that the show teaches us.

You would think that only adults watch this series because it’s so relatable, but teens can relate to it too because of the diversity it has. This includes race, sexualism, and insecurities. A show where many people can relate is a remarkable show. So for now, I’ll be waiting for every

We are venturing again to Los Angeles this week where 1987 graduate, Corey Jackson, works as a film and television composer. After a movie is made, Corey meets with the director of the film to “spot” the film. This is the process of deciding where music should go in the film and what emotions the music should portray. After the spot, Corey writes the music for one scene at a time. Each composition is sent to the director for approval. Corey says that the director may like it the first time or may send it back with notes and suggestions for him to try again. “Once that is completed I, with the help of my team, will record, mix and deliver the music to the dubbing stage for final mix,” says Jackson. He also describes being on the set of a movie as not glamorous, contrary to what some may think. On a constant deadline, he says working is hard, time consuming, and challenging, but working with like minded people who all have the same ultimate goal and work ethic makes it easier.…

The three terms/concepts are: casting, ensemble acting, and method acting. The cast of American Beauty won a Screen Actors Guild Award for an Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Theatrical Motion Picture in the year 2000, the ensemble acting includes the acting techniques of working together in the film shots, and the casting of the group of actors for the characters’ roles includes: Annette Bening, Wes Bentley, Thora Birch, Chris Cooper, Peter Gallagher, Allison Janney, Kevin Spacey, and Mena Suvari. In fact, some of the actors cast in the roles are not method actors per se, and their acting articulates some of the Stanislavski's System techniques which include the establishment of their own creative personal methods.…

There are many differences and similarities in the book and movie Our America. The book and the movie Our America is a story about two best friends, both teenagers named LeAlan and Lloyd. They went throughout their neighborhood recording everything that happens in their daily life and what happens in their neighborhood on a daily basis. The reason it is called Our America is because they want to show the readers “their America” in the ghetto. I think that the book and the movie version of Our America have more differences than similarities.…

The film “Fed Up”, produced by Katie Couric and Laurie David, was an interesting and informative film about the dangers of sugar consumption and its contribution to obesity. The strengths of the film were that they gave examples of two major changes that the food industry made to try and save themselves instead of putting the people’s best interest first. Therefore, the American Academy of Family Physicians teamed up with coca cola to say that soft drinks had nothing to do with obesity, when science showed otherwise, while 20 doctors that helped make up the association publicly resigned. Then came the McGovern report in 1977 that issued the first dietary goals, stating that the American diet was overly rich in fatty meats, rich in saturated fats and cholesterol, and rich in sugar,…

In Dave Barry’s, “Lost in America”, I feel the narrator was not only expressing his regret for having missed the signs of how deep his mother’s grief ran but, also for a chance to relive those final memories with her as a way of making it seem as she is still alive, even if only for a moment. I also feel he intended for his words to act as a warning to others to watch their own loved ones for signs of depression, especially someone who has gone through a tragedy like Dave’s mother. His mother’s inability to move on or make a commitment to anything after her husbands death were all signs of a deep depression hers sons missed, probably due to their own grief. She was silently telling them she needed help in different ways, unfortunately Dave and his…

Television, one of the World's favorite technology. With billions of people watching, you would think that television stations would air shows that would be fruit for the mind, something that they could learn from. Sadly, this is not quite the case. Audiences are fed poison in the form of absurd reality TV shows. When watching an episode of MTV'S "Jersey Shore", one would agree that this provides nothing for the mind, body and/or soul.
