Three Branches Of Government
The American government is the glue that holds the United States together. If it were not for the government, then the United States would be complete chaos. There are three major branches that carry out all of the functions of the government. Those three branches include the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches.
The Executive branch includes the President of the United States, the Vice President, the cabinet, 15 different departments and other agencies. The main purposed of this branch is to enforce the laws of the nation. This branch also deals with foreign nations and diplomatic ties with them. Pieces of legislation must be sent through the executive branch, so the president can either sign it into law or veto it (“Three Branches
