Three Piglet Brothers
There was once three piglet brothers Leon, Brian, and Murphy. In this essay, I will be analyzing the short story of these three brothers. They had to drop out of school to provide for their single mother who was battling cancer. Leon chose the career and became an underwater welder; Brian joined the union brotherhood of carpentry and Murphy continued to remain home to tend to his mother. Six months went by, and their mother died of breast cancer, forcing them to live alone As they went their separate ways, Leon relocated to a very industrial town. He began building his new home out of pure steel. He used the craft that he learned from previous welding training. The Building process took about two months to make his home. He had made a home that could endure any damage any damage. The sturdiness of his home kept him safe and well protected away from anyone attempting to hurt them. Their other brother Brian went on to build a house made out of sticks and raged boards he found scattered around. The situation forced Murphy into running to the only place close to him that would take him in, His older brother brains house. He arrived at his brother’s house safely but little did he know the wolf was still following him. The wolf reached Brian’s house and blew the roof of the place. Leading them both running to their brother Leon’s house. The wolf arrived and began to blow at Leon’s house but the house was put together so well and sturdy, it caused the wolf to have a heart attack, killing himself instantly. In the article Death of a Pig, the author E. B. White recorded the last few days he spent with his young pig. This article was inspired by his real experience. After reading the whole article, readers can feel strongly that E. B. White didn’t treat his young pig as an animal, but a human, like a child, a friend or a relative. His various and accurate descriptions of the death of his young pig make readers feel that one of his family members pass away. This can be spotted through his proper use of rhetoric and careful and accurate choosing words.…

The past few weeks I have been reading the play Blood Brothers written by Willy Russell. It is the story of twin brothers who are separated at birth. Wealthy Mrs Lyons, who is not able to have her own children, blackmails her maid, Mrs Johnstone into giving her one of her new born twins. Mrs Lyons says all Miss Johnston’s other children well benefit, as the Johnston’s have little money. The women agree that it should be their secret and no one else will ever know the truth. The play explores many themes, some being, superstition, friendship and social class. This essay will discuss the changes in the relationship between Edward and Mickey, while also looking at the conveyed themes.…

Ben Rice’s short novel “Pobby and Dingan” demonstrates many emotions through such a brief story. This Australian tale it is at one point a beautiful narrative taken place in the childhood of Ashmol Williamson, which quickly turns into a fable stressing the importance of imagination, and teaches about childhood loss. In the short story “Boys” there is a strong element of conflict making this piece of literature a story rather than a poem, as some may believe. However, unlike other short stories, these conflicts are spread throughout the whole story and not just in the middle with one ending resolution. “Boys” follows the chronological order of two twin boys starting at their birth “[…] boys with infant pattern baldness, slung in the arms of parents, boys…

The entire Yelnats family struggled and suffered heavily, supposedly, due to a curse put on them by a one-legged gypsy, Madame Zeroni. An old, Egyptian woman, Madame Zeroni reluctantly provided Stanley’s great-great grandfather, Elya Yelnats, with a piglet, to get the love of his life, Myra Menke. As her father was already in talks with Igor Barkov, who offered an enormous pig, he demanded something similar. Thus, Madame Zeroni told Elya to carry the piglet up the mountain where water ran uphill, make him drink that water and sing to it, every day. While it would grow, he would get stronger and tougher too. She, however, had strictly warned him to come back for her, to carry her up the mountain, let her drink from the same water and sing to her, otherwise, “He and all his descendants would be cursed for eternity.” Being a fifteen-year old, Elya did not take this very seriously and forgot about the assurance he had given Madame…
