Case of Ian Michael Porciuncula
Time Context:

The problem was noted April 2000. When Ian Michael Porciuncula started to work in MLCP Medical Association.

Viewpoint:

In own point of view, in the situation of Mr. Gan. I will change my leadership style so that I could have a good relationship to my subordinates. The may lead our company to success.

Statement of the Problem:

The research aims to improve the situation of MLCP with regards to the office force. Specifically it aims to answer the following question.
1. The high turnover of office employees which average about 47% per year .
2. Lack of concern of many girls toward their work.
3. The Unorganized Office Management of MLCP.

Objective:

1. To lessen the high rate of turnovers.
2. To appease the workers in their jobs by giving some prosperity gift or benefits.
3. To develop the office management of MLC in other to have a better company relationship between the superior to his subordinate.

Areas of Consideration Analysis:

The Main Problem is the style of leadership Mr. Gan is a dictatorial leader that uses negative approach to his subordinates. All decision-making power is theirs, unrealistic in demands, uses excessive discipline and punishment, and does not allow others to question decisions or authority. Like what he did to Ian Michael he doesn’t agree with the proposal. That became the cause of their conflict that lead to Ian Michael to submit a resignation letter.

Alternative Courses of Action:

In alternative course of action I will specify the possible and most viable solution to solve the problems. First Mr. Gan should change his, style of his leadership so that he could not have an argument/ conflict like what happen between him and Ian Michael.     Following the process of globalization which is increasingly developing, consequent fierce competition brings about frequent phenomenon of turnover in organizations (Liu et al., 2011). According to the statistic data that showed by Meier and Hicklin (2007), the turnover rate of U.S. federal government was 16.1% from 2003 to 2004, Dutch temporary employment agencies was 14.2% in 2005 and trucking even reached 41% in 2005. The MD who was keen in knowing the secret, contacted the workers who left even without finding another job and came to know the junior supervisors were used to shout at the workers even for a small omissions and insulted them and made them embarrassed in front of all, where even the senior supervisor and the technician did not care of that much. The MD having a good HR background decided himself to send all five junior supervisors from respective branches to a supervisory skills training workshop on the very next Friday and instructed the Personnel Manager to arrange the same immediately.
