Tin Star Vs High Noon Analysis
There are many differences in "Tin Star" and "High noon" but I think that Carl Foreman made changes for the better.
In the beginning of "High Noon" will Cane gets married and will quit completely when he heard that frank miller is coming back, and gets told to leave and quit working as A Marshall.
In the beginning of "Tin Star" Will Kane (Duane) goes to the cemetery to see his wife that had died a long ago. I think that Carl Foreman changed this although he could make it more dramatic and make him want to leave.
In the movie "High Noon" Harvey and Will get in a fight at The stables and Will knocks him out however In the book "Tin Star" it is Harvey and will but they never get in a fight. I think that the screenplay writer Carl Foreman decided

Another difference that I noticed is concerning Curley's wife. In the book there is a scene where Lennie, Candy and Crooks are gathered in Crooks' room. After a while, Curley's wife emerges and the atmosphere becomes unpleasant. Crooks finds the courage to stand up against her, and when he does, she verbally breaks him down. In the movie this scene never takes place, and by eliminating this incident Curley's wife's destructive nature stays unrevealed.…

To conclude, I think that the book and movie had many differences. Also the movie should have added more scenes about the book that was true. High Noon Film Analysis

It was revolutionary to have such a different way of viewing a film between judging the characters by both their dialogue and their actions for long periods of time during their performances. It felt like a musical although it had no singing in the way that you could judge and feel for each individual character as they performed. High Noon and The Quiet Man were both good but they were not anything drastically different from other films of the era. They had many high and low angle shots and lighting to distinguish the good from the bad. Although the characters were understandable, there was never really a clear deeper meaning that could be scene from the film techniques like they did in The Greatest Show on Earth.…

When adapting a well-known and loved play into a movie, the adaptor must keep in mind how the audience will react to a new version of a beloved story. An example of this is A Raisin in the Sun, which was adapted into a movie in 2008. Lorraine Hansberry wrote the original play and Paris Qualles adapted that play into a TV movie. The main themes of the story are family, faith, and hope. Following the narrative of a lower-class family living in Chicago in 1959, the play deals with racial tension, family issues, the journey from childhood to adulthood, and how each individual person impacts others around them, within the family unit and out in the world. Some minor issues with the play were resolved in the movie, such as the role of women and how they did not seem to have lives outside of the apartment. The 2008 movie adaptation stayed true to the original framework of the play while enriching the story for a modern audience.…

My favorite thing that the director changed was how he added captions. The director also divided the movie into chapters. I enjoyed how he displayed quotes that McCandless would read or write on the screen. For example, when they would read one of McCandless’s journal entries they would display it on the screen for you to read along.…

The next thing I’d notice was the young man actually walked into the old man's room. In the book he just bursts into his room and does the cruel deed to the old man. In the movie they just look at each other. But in the movie as they look at each other the young man also walks closer. This was another major thing they changed.…

    Starship Troopers Analysis

For my paper I decided to take a look at two movies that I highly enjoy watching Starship Troopers and Pride and compare and contrast them with a theory that we have learned this semester. I chose these films not only for their stark differences in plot, but for more importantly the various ways male characters are depicted in these films. I will be analyzing the bulk of male characters in each of these movies through the eyes of the masculine theory. As you know the masculine theory deals with the various ways that male roles are depicting in the film and sometimes can even be used to see how woman are depicted in films if they are depicted in a masculine way. When analyzing a film this way you need to look at how males are represented in…

There isn't as many differences as there are similarities in the stories, but they are very noticeable, for example, in the book, Lennie is described as "big" and "dark around the eyes", but in the movie Lennie isn't fat and he is white so you can see his eyes clearly. To me, he looked pretty average except you can notice there is something wrong with him by the way he acted. There are many quotes in the book that aren't said in the movie. It's good to know that both stories aren't "exactly" the same. Then, if you read or watch one, you wouldn't have to read or watch the other. Unless you are supposed to be comparing or contrasting each, that's a different story!…
