Toucan Clarkson Company Case Analysis
One of the most glaring issues from the inside looking out at Toucan Productions is their methods, or lack thereof, of social media marketing. Now more than ever, producing content on social media and sharing exciting, relevant information is incredibly important to building a customer base and a database. Granted that Toucan Productions provides mostly visual products, I feel that they could be doing more to show consumers what the company is capable of providing, no matter how big or small.
In my mind, there are multiple issues with the majority of their social media accounts. Increasingly, their Facebook contains personal posts (mostly about dogs, admittedly) and content unrelated to the actual company itself. It gives an extremely unprofessional appearance. Their Instagram does a much better of sharing content that’s relevant to the company. It is primarily just excerpts of their more relevant postings on Facebook. Their Twitter is just repetitions of their Facebook feed. In addition, when you search for Toucan Productions’ Twitter, more than one company comes up. Moreover, I believe the company should consider making an account with Snapchat,

Toucan Productions is contracted with a number of large acts, including local artists, national tours, and international ventures. If they share the artists events and pictures of the artists using our equipment, I feel that could be a great opportunity of association. Potential customers could see an artist using the company’s gear, and then come calling for rentals of their own. Especially granted that artists, especially larger ones, have professional photography done at concerts, we could be sharing those photos and getting our name out to people who are fans of those acts. Primarily, Facebook would be the ideal avenue to complete this, but it is arguable one could do this on multiple social media
