Individual businesses must work in partnership with other organisations in order to be successful. Tourism is a very competitive and complex sector and many companies develop links with other businesses as a way of maximising profits. If for example Thomas cook didn’t work with other hotels, insurance companies, company picks up on arrival, Thomas cook wouldn’t make any profits, as customers wouldn’t want to book a holiday with a company who don’t take out insurance, which if an accident happened they would have thousands to pay with no compensation. Also if customers were to book with a company who didn’t book with certain hotels, you could end up anywhere without any information about it. Whereas if Thomas cook have interrelationships with hotels they are more likely to be safer and nicer hotels, meaning customers trust Thomas cook knowing the hotel is good one. This increases profit due to more repeat purchases.…

Started as a private initiative to promote the Philippines as a major travel destination, the Philippine Tourist & Travel Association was organized in 1950. In 1956, the Board of Travel and Tourist Industry was created by Philippine Congress. As stipulated in the Integrated Reorganization Plan in 1972 sanctioned as a law under Presidential Decree No. 1, as amended, the Department of Trade and Tourism was established, reorganizing the then Department of Commerce and Industry. A Philippine Tourism Commission was created under the unified Trade and Tourism Department to oversee the growth of the tourism industry as a source of economic benefit for the country. Then in 1973, President Ferdinand Marcos created a new cabinet-level Department of Tourism (DOT) by splitting the Department of Trade and Tourism into two separate departments. Included in the new Department of Tourism, the agency Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) and the Philippine Convention Bureau (PCB) were created. The Department of Tourism was then renamed Ministry of Tourism as result of the shift in the form of government as enshrined in the amendments to the 1973 Constitution.…
Wearing helmet is protect us when we meet traffic accident. Traffic accident is the most concerning problem we are facing today. The figure of the accident had become increasing and most of people are injured and died from day to day. To solve their problem, government of Cambodia especially the capital of Phnom Penh has been introduced all Khmer people to wear helmet. In my opinion, wearing helmet provides us some benefits for some reasons. First of all, wearing helmet helps to reduce traffic accident. People will pay enough attention while they are driving their motors if they wear helmet. Moreover, it helps us in protecting our eyes from the dust or terrible lights from others vehicles because we don’t need to use our hand or fingers to clean it while we are controlling our vehicles. And than wearing helmet helps you to oblige your duty as a real citizen. Wearing helmet is the law; someone who broke it would be fine by the police. People who wears helmet will become the responsible person because they obey the traffic law and traffic lights. It is the waste of time and money if police fine you. So, being a person you must have a sense of responsibility. Finally, wearing helmet helps you to protect your life. While you are controlling your vehicle on the roads you would face a lot of problems especially accident by wearing helmet can protect your head from danger. Head is the most important part for everyone. If our heads have problem we can’t do anything, or sometimes it can cause to be abnormal or crazy or ever dead. All in all, wearing helmet is very useful for us especially our lives protected. We can’t buy our lives but we can prevent it by wearing helmet as Khmer proverb say “Prevention is better than cure”. Together wear helmet are make our country will be in…
Since the beginning of time humans have traveled. Food, water, safety or acquisition of resources (trade) were the early travel motivations. But the idea of travel for pleasure or exploration soon emerged. Travel has always depended upon technology to provide the means or mode of travel. The earliest travelers walked or rode domesticated animals. The invention of the wheel and the sail provided new modes of transportation. Each improvement in technology increased individuals' opportunities to travel. As roads were improved and governments stabilized, interest in travel increased for education, sightseeing, and religious purposes. One of the earliest travel guides was written by Pausanias, a Greek, which was a 10 volume Guide to Greece, for Roman tourists in 170 A.D..…
If we consider Figure 1, then initial tourism expenditure has a direct effect in the form of income to businesses for goods and services bought by tourists, wages to households in connection with tourism related employment and income to the government through tourism related taxation and fees. When tourists spend their income on imported goods (often food and drink but possibly also furnishings in hotels, salaries for overseas workers, etc), that expenditure is lost to the system (leakages via imports). Governments, households and most notably business, must then make purchases in order to provide tourism related goods and services. This is most apparent in the case of businesses that must purchase a range of different inputs to create the goods and services purchased by tourists. The initial tourism expenditure or visitor consumption can be classified into two sub-categories (i.e., visitor actual final consumption and tourism business…
