Identify,discuss and explain what you feel have been the most significant influences on the planning and development of tourism over the past ten years.

Introduction
With the development of the entire society, tourism industry has become one of the most powerful industries in the global economic development. The status of the tourism industry in the economic development is gradually enhanced and it plays an important role in the national economy. The World Tourism Organization forecasts that international arrivals will be up to 1.6 billion in the year 2020 and travelers will spend over US$2 trillion, making tourism the world’s leading industry. (UNESCO, The Courier, 1999).
However, according to the world tourism development status and trends, world tourism shows a fluctuation growth trend, the district development is not balanced. Since the beginning of the new century, the continuing progress of the productive forces and gradually increase in living standards give impetus to the extent of tourism activities.Frequent international economic, cultural exchanges and the evolution of lifestyle also further promote the diversification of demand for business travel, adventure travel, vacation travel and shopping tourism.(Irshad.H,2010) Nevertheless, tourism industry is more sensitive to changes in the external environment, it will be subject to the influences of a variety of factors, moreover, due to tourism industry has strong regional and different tourism resources, coupled with distinctive domestic tourism development strategies and the constraints of the tourism development capabilities, the level of tourism development in different countries in the world is different.
This essay attempts to identify what have been the most significant influences on the planning and development of tourism over the past ten yeas through the definition of tourism planning and development, then discuss and explain the reason why these impacts affect tourism planning and
