Trail Reflection Report
Trail Reflection My groups project was the case of Amanda Knox. The project was to research the case, collaborate with our group and present a well put together court trial. My role was witness three, I was a forensic pathologist and I had to collaborate with Lawyer three to make questions that would convince the judge for our side which was defense, to win. I would choose this role again because I felt like I did a fair amount of work and I liked being the one to answer, not ask the questions. In my opinion, I think my group worked fairly well. Throughout the time we had to complete this project we had some good and bad things. We needed to change roles several times because it wasn't working out. Everyone was really nice about it and nobody made it a huge problem. For instance when I decided I really did not want to be a lawyer and ask questions to the other side, the group was nice about it and helped me find …show more content…
In the court system I learned how to object, when and when not to object and also that the juror can overrule it. For research I learned that keeping your notes organized is important and very helpful when you need this information. And lastly for evidence I learned that you need to have pretty reliable evidence for you to make sense in the actual case. If I did not understand something in the project I would use the strategy of asking others in my group to explain or help me. I feel that all the evidence I collected was correct and that it was enough, altogether I had seven citations. In real life this project relates to many things but one in particular that I think of is the law. Court cases happen everyday for small and big things. You need to have your research right and a good claim when in court. This project also helped me with my speaking skills which is important in real life for your

In my many years in working for the state of Georgia, I have worked in several groups, but the one that stands out the planning committee that I was serving on with my co-worker. We were trying to organize a non-profit organization called It takes a Village. We had a rough start but we worked to together and everyone understood the main goal and we all got assigned certain duties and once we complete the assigned task we, always assisted the other team members so that we get the job done.…

Throughout all of the tasks that I took part in, I believe that I performed well in some of them but then in others I could have performed much better. Throughout all of the tasks I believe that I participated as much as possible in order to get the tasks completed, participation was important for the team because of the limited numbers within the team, if I didn’t participate as much as possible then the team may have struggled to complete all of the tasks. I always try to participate as much as possible within all of the tasks, if I don’t then I feel like I have let the team down and could have done better within the task. Another part in which I did well was proposing and developing ideas for the team, when we were given the task I would firstly think to myself about any ideas I may have for the task, then if I believed that one of the ideas was good I would tell the group and find out their opinions on the idea. I was particularly good at developing the ideas of the other team members, when they come up with an idea I would try to think of ways in which It could be improved upon, I believe the team found this helpful because they were struggling to come with more ideas so if I could develop the ideas of the other team members then we would not have to keep up with a lot of new ideas. The final part in which I believe I did well was my communication with the team, throughout all of the tasks I was always talking with the other team members trying to help them through any problems that they were having with their part of the task, communication was key for the whole team so we could understand what each team member was doing and whether they needed help with their part of the task.…

As part of my Business Innovation Development Project Unit, I had the opportunity to put myself into group with my friends or people I believed I could work well with. In the first stages of our group we all tried to get to know each other more through analysing personality and learning types’ test that we previously undertook. I realise we were going through the normal stages of the team formation in particular forming and norming (Tuckman, 1965). In my assignment group we had all Belbin team roles which helped us perform well throughout our project and also helped us to identify other team members’ behavioural strengths and weaknesses. During the initial stages of the group getting together I believed it was important that we all had a clear objective and somewhat of a pathway of what we wanted to achieve and that everyone shared duties within the group. My group members had roles such as researching the market to see if there is a demand for Youni which was our product for university students, they also dealt with the financial side of our product and making analysis between our product and our competitor’s product.…

My experience with being a leader in the groups that we did was a great learning experience. I learned a lot not only about myself, but also about what it is like to be the leader of a group. Leading a group was harder than I thought it would be and knowing how to start, what activities or techniques to use and what to say or do next was also harder than I thought.…

In the beginning no one had an idea on which side we were going to be in the debate on the topic, which I got was Stem Cell Research and after researching both sides and learning the pro and cons about Stem Cell Research. My group was given the pro side, which means that I was supporting doing more research on stem cells and learning how they work. I was actually really excited because when we were researching both sides, I was agreeing more with the pro side. This project showed me that it does not matter, if I never heard about the topic, I just need to research. The more I did research on stem cells the more I would understand my topic and the project. This was the first time I had a project where I have learn the material on my own and have a real debate in front of the whole class. I feel that this taught me that I have the potential to learn materials on my own. This project made me learn skills for success because in college the professors do not babysit you or make sure you do your work. The professors have so many students that they don’t make sure that every student understands the…

There were a lot of positives about our group. We are all very educated and excited about the things that we were presenting on and many of us have experience on what we were doing. For example, I have done blood pressures and blood sugars on missions trips in the past and Christina does both in the hospitals for clinical. This was very helpful in getting our health fair done properly and effectively because we knew that we were doing it correctly. Some weaknesses that the team encountered were ensuring that everyone completed their assigned task and had it turned in on time. I had initially failed at this as I did not complete or turn in my portion of the grant proposal. I then got my act together and was an active participant for the rest of the service learning project. I think that after the first part of the project, the grant proposal, our group…

From Elementary school to my present grade in High school, I was involved in different group works and stayed after school in order to perform distinct tasks that involved organizing clubs. Ever since I was young, I was looked to as a leader; separate teachers assigned me as a group helper, I felt that I finally was put in a place I belonged at. I have formed leadership skills that have made me independent and proud of my own work skills. I am able to take the lead in a situation and solve it.…
