Basically, most of the line in this painting are straight lines, of which some are horizontal straight lines, such as the lines on the purple building in the middle of the painting and the line on the orange building in the left hand side. Also, on these building and on the closest building in the right hand side, there are some vertical straight lines. Besides, there are some angular lines in the purple building between the orange and taller purple building, so are in the river bank in the lower left middle. Interestingly, the only curved lines in the painting is the plants near the purple building, it turns upwards and downwards, making the painting more vivid. In both sides of the river, there are also some diagonal straight lines. The principle of design I want to analyze is movement.
