their teachers. This will keep them out of trouble and create an easier environment for learning. Next, they should be respectful to their peers. This way, they can make friends and develop good social skills. Thirdly, incoming sixth graders should know that they should also be respectful to themselves. They shouldn’t stress out too much, but should still take every opportunity for themselves. By being respectful to themselves and others, incoming sixth graders can adapt much easier to the transition from elementary school to middle school. One last piece of advice I have for incoming sixth graders is to get involved in school activities, such as sports, clubs, and committees.
This can help them make friends. Many other students do school activities, so it is a great way to meet people. Doing sports can help them stay healthy. Exercising with a team can motivate students to do the work it takes to do that sport. Lastly, students can do things that make them happy in a group. For example, if a sixth grader enjoys art, it could be really fun to do an art club surrounded by others with the same passion. This is why I would suggest that incoming sixth graders join school activities so that they can have fun at
Hillside. I would give incoming sixth graders a lot of advice. One piece of advice is to put effort into each class. Another is to be respectful to others and themselves. Lastly, sixth graders should try to be involved in school organizations. This is some advice that I would give sixth graders coming into Hillside Middle School. If these students follow this advice, the transition from elementary to middle school should be easy, and they will have a fun and productive time at Hillside.
