Rasputin was a peasant from Siberia, he was a holy man that clamed he had the power to heal the sick and predict the future. This came in handy when he found out that the Tsar's son Alexis has hemophaelia, that's a disease which won't let your blood clot and so if you get cut or something you could die. When Rasputin was invited to the place for dinner he showed Alexandra (the tsar's wife) his powers by healing one of Alexis's cuts. This gave Rasputin complete control …show more content…
over Alexandra. Years went by and Rasputin had became the Tsars Chief adviser, he now had control over
and rumors were made about Rasputin and Alexandra was having an affair. Cartoon posters were made of this and spread around Russia, this angered the Tsar so he had heaps of printing companies shut down and people killed, this just started more rumors. When war broke out the Tsar went and fought with his men, he left his wife in charge and she put Rasputin in a hire position up with her. This started even more rumors and the people really didn't like a Siberia and a German running the country, especially since Russia was at war with Germany. Then Rasputin fired the Chief of transport and the Chief of stock, leaving lots of people stranded and hungry. The Tsar didn't know anything about this until he left the battle, Alexandra didn't know much about this either, the people thought it was the Tsars fault and blamed him. This caused even more problems, so Rasputin's death was arranged. He was invited to a dinner party with Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich and Prince Felix Yusupovsky, they feed him poisoned food, the shot, then and then his hands and legs were bonded and they through he into a river where he died of drowning. That is why The Role of Rasputin is one of my reasons.
The state of the army was also one of my three reasons, they had very little weapons and ammo, Russia had plenty of weapons and ammo but there was not enough transport.
At the front line the men only had three bullets and one rifle between two people and if every one ran out of bullets they would charge with bayonets and cavalry with sabers (a type of gun) this was one of their main tactics which they mainly trained and practice. There was also limited food, water and warmth, lots of people die of hunger and froze to death on the way to the battle and were too weak to fight when they arrived. In May 1915 Germany attacked Poland wiping out just under half of Russia's army, 1400 000 were kill in battle or got wounded and 976 000 were caught and became prisoners. The Germans had better attack and defense, they had bigger and deeper trenches and longer rang weaponry, and they had more ammo and could hold their position better. The Germans squads had twice as many guns and three times as much ammo as the Russian squads, their guns just mowed down the Russians like nothing. The main problem with the army was the transport, since Russia is so big it's hard to get troops, weapons, ammo, and food + water around to everyone. There was only two main train tracks running straight through the middle of Russia this made it hard to defend all around. All of this was blamed on the Tsar and because he was leading the army he was blamed for the massive defeat and the poor tactics. The State …show more content…
of the Army is probably my main reason over all.
The Duma is another of my three reasons because of the way they tried to being down the Tsar and the way they blamed him for every thing, they also turned people against him and were a part of the red Russians.
They didn't like the idea of one man running Russia and they wanted to get rid of him, they had done plenty of things to push him out of power but it just wasn't enough. When the people wanted a Duma the Tsar gave them one but they ended up killing one of his advisors so he tried to get rid of if again, he was unsuccessful. The Duma and the Tsar both have their points and they both want the same type of thing but they want to do it different ways, they both wanted the people to have food, water and warmth. The Duma had a bigger voice and the people liked the way they said they would do things if they were in power, well most of them, there were some people that were loyal to their Tsar and wanted him to stay in power, these people were the white Russians. The Duma was getting closer to the Tsar and more people were joining the Red Russians. That is why The Role of the Duma is one of my three reasons on why the Tsar fell from
power.
These three reasons on why the Tsar, Nicholas II fell from are pretty strong as you can see, there was Rasputin, his tricks and the people he fired, The poor state of the army and the Duma, its loud voice and it popularity. These were my three main reasons.
