Stephanie Meyer wrote the amazing book, Twilight, which was the first that became a four saga series. Since the book was very popular with its readers it was made into a movie. Books that become movies have similarities and differences between the original story, as told in the novel and the screen story, as seen in the film. In Twilight there are some important differences and similarities that allow the reader to enjoy both stories.
A key similarity is the story line and main events are the same. Consistently in the book and the film Billy Black is always telling Bella to be careful. Likewise the chase and fight with James and Bella are the same in the book and the movie. Other similarities in the book and the movie are Bella going to the prom with Edward, Edward being mean to Jacob, Bella always dreaming about Edward, Charlie buying a truck from Billy for Bella’s home coming present, Bella meeting all of the Cullens and going to watch them play baseball.
One last important similarity between the book and the film is Edward and Bella going to the meadow together and Edward showing her why he can’t go into the sunlight. This is important in both the book and the film because it states that Edward and his family are vampires. These similarities allow the book and movie to tell the same story. The differences in Twilight are very easy to pick out. For instance, in the book, Jessica, Angela, and Bella go to Port Angeles to do some dress shopping for the spring dance where as in the movie they are shopping for the prom. In the book, Bella faints in biology class because they were working with blood. In the movie this is not even there. The book also says that Bella went with Jasper and Alice to the airport to pick up Edward, Carlisle, and Emmett and then she escaped Jasper’s watch and goes to find James at her old ballet studio. The movie is different since it has Bella sneaking out of the hotel she was
