Tyler's Life-Personal Narrative
Tyler's eyes were glued to the the other's back as he walked away, wanting nothing more than to run off and wallow in his guilt. Even with Jake defending him and Geneva worrying about him, he felt more vulnerable than ever. Maybe it was the black eye and bruises gracing his right side, or maybe it was the fact that the entire school now knew about his most closely guarded secret that he wasn't even sure about.

The blonde had never denied his feelings for Geneva, but at the same time, he couldn't forget the feelings he had for Grace at the beginning of their relationship. Said feelings quickly vanished as he began to see how cruel the brunette truly was, but what he had felt before was just as real as what he felt now for Geneva.

Not only did he have his own personal struggles to deal with, but he also had to put up with the dunces also known as his classmates. Growing up in a small town means that most people are too afraid to learn - he had learned this from his father more than anyone.

The blonde had every reason in the world to be upset, yet he refused to rely on other people. Even though it might've been best to share what he was feeling with Geneva and tell him the truth about what happened with Mike, he couldn't bring himself to. Not once in his life had he been so ashamed of himself and his family than how much he had now. It was embarrassing to think that he couldn't protect himself from his father, of all people. What about when people at school start doing the same thing to him? To Geneva?

He couldn't let anyone - especially Geneva - see this side of him, even if he already had in the past. Things were different now, and Tyler could hardly look himself in the mirror this morning. he wanted to be his own person, who could fight for what he believed in, but how would that be possible if relied on other people for his strength? The sound of the crowded cafeteria grew louder as the blonde grew more aware of his surroundings. He buried his face into his sleeve, pushing away the tray in front of him which didn't have much to begin with. The other blonde frowned at this action, placing his head in his arms, mirroring his friend. "You gotta eat, man," he started, voice slightly muffled by his arm. Tyler only shrugged in response.

He lifted his head when more people approached their table - the last three he wanted to see right now. Maranda was clinging to Trent, as always, with Grace trailing behind them. Jake flashed the trio a small smile, doing his best to avoid the argument that would most likely ensue. Tyler sat up slowly, eyes meeting Grace's before meeting the ceiling.

"You can't ignore it forever, Tyler," Maranda was the first to speak, voice surprisingly free of judgement. At least, somewhat so. She was upset, he could tell, but she wasn't acting like it. At least, not for now. "Why on earth would you pull a stunt like

Different events are not making sense like the once did before and it leaves the audience questioning what is truly occurring. However, once we discover that Tyler is a figment of the narrator’s imagination, everything becomes clear. Without the point of view of the narrator, the audience would not have seen the psychological problems the narrator faced as he did, but rather have quickly thought that he was crazy. If this was done it would not have had the same impact it has on the audience. Also, a revolving theme in the film is isolation. This could have ultimately led to his need to create Tyler because he felt as if he was not living his life to the fullest potential and he did not feel happy with himself. Towards the end of the film he found someone who made him lose sense of that, Marla, and no longer needed Tyler, which led Narrator to end…

He was stuck in a bad situation of what to believe or trust. Jeremy had cynical trust for his father, because he reflected more on his mother’s side. The boy went through a lot as shown in the novel, and he isolates himself. I could become friends with Jeremy, I understand all what he is going through. I had a share of bad days and can understand how he feels about losing his mother. Seeking the help from the beginning is what he should have done, it would have been the best thing to do. I would have made good friends with the protagonist, I would not let him feel isolated and help…

1st of all I think Ty Dooley did a great job speaking at the panel and really made look at things from a totally different prospective. Something that I’ve taken away from him during the event is even after we leave this diverse university environment it is up to each and every single one of us to keep the conversations going and regardless of the good and bad going on around us we should never forget about our heritage and background regardless of where that might possible be. Something else that he made me think is that if we choose to forget about history then it would surely repeat itself. I personally will take his advice by not being scared to speak up about certain issues within the university and even a larger community, I also learned…

His parents give him a lot of support by giving him puzzles to solve to reach his goals. He also uses strategies. The first strategy he uses in his story is imagery. He uses this strategy to explain to the readers how he got inspired by one of his classmates makes a big difference. “One of my co-workers called her over, gently sat her down and typed the letter. It was a simple act.”(pg.163,para.16).Another strategy he uses in his story is all caps. He uses this in his story to explain how his father would’ve said at his graduation speech.’I TAUGHT HIM TO WORK HARD AND TO RESPECT OTHERS AND LOOK WHERE HE IS NOW (pg.160,para.2).” The last strategy he uses in his story is figurative language. He uses this strategy to show how today’s small act of kindness can change the world forever.”Today’s small act of kindness can become tomorrow's human…

Tyler Evan is one of my many peers who have made a huge impact on my life. I meet Tyler in April of 2017 and though I have not know him that the long the summer we spent together has changed a lot about how I see the world. He has opened my eyes up to a whole new social class that I was not familiar with. When I was growing up I had supportive parents and never had to worry about financial problems. As me and Tyler began to get closer I found out that my life isn't at all what most people have. Due to some circumstances his parents were very involved in his life, and had little to no money. After all he had been through and all the challenges he has faced , It still shocks he that he is as strong and independent as he his. For me I had always seen the people on the street who lacked money but they never really meant anything to. People who have little to no money can be just a great, and hardworking as those who are wealth.…
