Describe the duties and responsibilities of own work role:
My duties as a health care support worker is to see to my patients in their own home or a care home,and take care of their needs,i re dress any wounds they may have,check for any pressure areas on the body.I also have to wash and dress some patients as they may be ill and can not attend to these needs alone i also make sure they are comfortable when i leave. I also take bloods from patients and making sure the patient is fully aware of what i am doing and try my best to give as much information as possible why these bloods are requested.
Explain expectations about own work role as expressed in relevant standards:
The expectations about my own work role as expressed in relevant standards are to; safeguard clients, to treat them with dignity and respect, to promote independence, to give the choice,an make sure that they are in a clean and environment.

Explain the importance of reflective practice in continuously improving the quality of service provided.
Working in care requires that in order to provide the best possible service for those you care for, you need to be able to reflect on what you do and the way you work and to also identify your strengths and weaknesses. It is important to examine the work that you have done and identify areas where you know you need to carry out additional development.
Demonstrate the ability to reflect on practice:
Reflective practice is the process that enables us to achieve a better understanding of ourselves,our knowledge and understanding our skills and competencies and workplace practices in general. It involves: considering why we do it like that whether it is successful wondering whether it could be done better.
