1.1) Identify the different reasons people communicate.
People communicate to understand to the needs of each individual. For example, what the children like or dislike, allergies, any illness they may have that need medication for and any skin conditions such as eczema which cream is needed when it is irritated.
1.2) Explain how effective communication affects all aspects of the learner’s work.
Effective communication can affect the learner from understanding their needs, or if the learner spoke a different language.
1.3) Explain why it is important to observe an individual’s reactions when communicating with them.
It is important to observe their reactions so you understand there body language and attitude and they can understand yours, but in some religions they don’t allow to make eye contact.
Outcome 3
3.1) Identify barriers to effective communication.
These barriers could include if the individual is deaf, blind or speaks a different language.
3.4) Identify sources of information and support or services to enable more effective communication.
The child minder can learn sign language and learn to speak the known language.
Outcome 4
4.1) Explain the term confidentiality.
Confidentiality is a set of rules or a promise that limits access or places restrictions on certain types of information.
4.3) Describe situations where information normally considered to be confidential might need to be passed on.
The only reason confidential information might be breached is if I notice any signs of abuse or bullying, and I would inform my boss to seek her opinion.
4.4) Explain how and when to seek advice about confidentiality.
I would talk to Tanya if I was unsure about anything.
