Improving performance at work is to ensure that we are constantly trying to improve ourselves and our work, This carries benefits to the company in a higher performing member of staff which can in turn provide the member of staff with promotion, being able to complete more complicated tasks and also being and integral part of the company
2. Explain the purpose and benefits of encouraging and accepting feedback from others
The purpose of accepting feedback from others is that it allows us to be open with others and to see how you and your work are being perceived by your peers and also managerial staff.
3. Explain how learning and development can improve own work, benefit organisations, and identify career options
Learning and development can improve our work and also that of the organisation you work for, By learning new tasks it can provide a greater knowledge of the company. The willingness to learn encourages organisations to help develop their staff through internal training program's or external. All aimed at having a more experienced collection of staff.
4. Describe possible career progression routes
Through L&D career progression is greatly improved, this can be from becoming a team leader/supervisor or manager each step of progress requires us to show that we have the willingness to adapt, learn and also to develop into these roles.

Possible development opportunities can arise within a team for example a manager may help to develop a member of staff to become a team leader, Another way could be by employing a new member staff or apprentice and developing them into a role through a structured development plan which can be monitored
