I would not want my child to be in a stressful environment and developmental appropriate education addresses that issue. As much stress, protects us by increasing our attention in an unfamiliar environments or interactions the prolonged exposure is a form of abuse. I would want the preschool to teach my child how to be sociably, creative, and address work habits and increase language proficiency (Santrock, 2015, p.226). I would like the meals provided to be high in protein and include vegetables and whole wheat foods with adequate fiber. Promoting a healthy diet and preventing iron deficiency. I would also like for the curriculum to include two hours of exercise; allowing the children to interact with each other and have one hour of unstructured free play (Santrock, 2015, p.204). Promoting exercise. I would also like to see drawing exercises, and allowing the children to explore who they are with supervision and assistance. Reading to the children and seeing what they interpret and what their thoughts are is another main attribute I would be looking for. In addition, addressing syntax and semantics in class, helping the children how to ask correct questions and statements.
