Video Making And Analysis: Hansel And Gretel
This project consists of three tasks. The first part of the assignment was graphic organizer. Next was lesson plan and followed by video making and reflection. The best part of this assignment was video making which I have never gone through before. In fact, this video making session brought ample of experiences for me and my friends. We were required to create any type of teaching material in the format of children show for example documentary, story, short film and so on about the topic we chosen in the curriculum standard. As for our group, we decided to do a video in the format of story telling show. Story that we have chosen entitled ‘Hansel and Gretel’ for year 3. Characters of this story are Hansel, Gretel, Stepmother, Father and Witch. The story revolves about two kids; Hansel and Gretel whom were sent back into the jungle by their stepmother and father and how they overcome all the struggles during their journey back to home. …show more content…
However, I believed that it is an art that truly mastered only after years of practice. In short, learning to plan a lesson is a lifelong process. Based on my previous experiences, I considered a few factors while planning the lesson. Learning outcomes, pupil’s previous knowledge, pupil’s language level, teaching and learning aids, time, as well as sequence and grading of activities are very important. These entire factors will influence teaching and learning process. In my opinion, I need to play extra attention while planning the lesson as this will determine the effectiveness of teaching and learning

Planning is essential to working efficiently and effectively as a learning support practitioner (or teaching assistant). Without planning how you intend to support the pupil’s learning you run the likely risk of not just wasting their time whilst you organise yourself, but also providing inconsistent and often conflicting or confusing messages to the children. If you are not ‘on the same page’ as the teacher then there is a possibility of inadvertently contradicting them which in turn confuses the pupil, clouding their understanding and ultimately creating obstacles to them achieving their learning objectives. This is counteractive to learning, which could not be further from the purpose of the teaching assistant role.…

The planning may be done by a particular person, by a group of people or everyone in your setting may be able to contribute to a plan. It is becoming more common in settings for there to be a blank plan on the wall and as the week develops colleagues can add to it (either for that week or for the following week), develop it and allow it to evolve in order to meet the children and young people’s needs. Weekly team meetings provide an opportunity to discuss different ideas and strategies as well as assigning specific tasks and activities to specific workers in order to ensure consistency. In other settings there may be a stricter planning cycle where activities are planned in advance to meet specific learning outcomes, for example, in a school environment. Planning should ensure that all areas of a development framework or curriculum are covered. Observations may only link in to certain areas and so the setting will need to plan other activities to meet the whole…
