Over the course of high school I have been volunteering at my church mainly as a youth leader for students my age. One of the main problem I notice, while volunteering is that the kids can be uncomfortable with their peers at times when it comes to asking and answering questions. My group of students was able overcome that through a series of ice breakers and team building activities. Through the games and challenges the students begin to ignore how others viewed them but worked together to achieve a common goal. With my experience, I propose a youth challenge day where the community comes together and the youth are able to interact with others not just from their classrooms. Having young kids and young adults interact with new people will allow them to step out of their comfort zone and learn team building skills. With more interactions of our community we can collectively bring more positivity to Mira
