Walt Disney has been one of the world’s most influential person for over a decade. Disney is known for his phenomenal movies, TV shows, and the well-known channel, Disney Channel. He can be recognized as the world’s most influential person because he easily affected many people, some of his most respected accomplishments, and definitely the journey he made achieving his goals. Some of Walt’s major creations include Disney films such as Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, Cinderella, Aladdin, and The Lion King, which were all old European films that Walt made even better. Some of Disney’s more recent popular films include , Home, Wreck it Ralph, and one of my personal favorites, Monsters’ Inc. One of Walt’s most famous creations, Disney World, has said to have 52,964 visitors daily at Magic Kingdom, according to temporarytourist.com. Not many people know, but Disney created some propaganda for America during WWII. (history.com) He created a short film in 1942 called “New Spirit” which encouraged citizens to pay their taxes in efforts to pay for the war. This influenced many Americans because it gave them a comedy about the war, but made sure to spread the word that taxpayers should help pay for war. He also helped the government not only because he dropped out of school in attempts to join the army, but also because he gave American’s short films that encouraged them to do things for the country that would benefit our country. Sure, Walt Disney could’ve gave children a bad influence because of his constant smoking, which led him to lung cancer and eventually death. However, the more important and influential reason was that Walt gave many people a reason to believe that no matter how big your dreams are, they just might come true. The many projects and cartoons and commercials Walt came up with forever changed the way Americans view entertainment. Many young kids watch Disney Channel and view shows such as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Phineas and Ferb, or some other family comedy. American children have grown up on Disney because it is all appealing to children. According to slideshare.net, Walt knew that life was hard and things are always easy because most of his characters had an issue that they overcame, showing viewers that all things you set your mind to are accomplishable.
