WEIGHT WATCHERS CASE QUESTIONS 1. Trace how you might go through the steps in the consumer decision process if you were thinking of going on a diet and using either of these diet programs. There are a number of steps I go through when making a decision about a going on a diet and finding a diet program. First of all, I would need to consider the risk of the diet. I would do research to find out whether it is a healthy way of losing weight. Maybe ask some friends their opinion or even do some research online. Secondly, I would figure out what is the most convenient and easy diet to follow. While also making sure it was a recommendable diet that has proven to show results. Let’s not forgot it has to provide foods that I like. Thirdly, I would compare the price of the services. I would be hoping for a good promotion deal of some sort, anything to save a little money. Several factors should be considered before making any decisions. After following these steps I make the decision that best fits my lifestyle.

2. How have Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig created value?
Weight Watchers has created value in many ways. First of all, the plan is simple and focused on behavior, food, exercise and support. Secondly, they believe in forming a stronger customer bonds by adding social benefits. They organize group meeting to encourage customers for weight loss, sharing of recipes and experiences. They give advice and support for maintaining your weight. Thirdly, they have added many structural ties by providing food scales, cookbooks, water bottles, snacks and desserts available at most of the grocery stores. Fourthly, there is 24/7 service provided by registered dietitian. They offer technology oriented techniques to point values of food at any place, just send them a picture.
